Patriots claim safety Don Jones on waivers, cut OL Chris Barker

Another Safety, was a 7th round pick of the Dolphins last year.

His Broad Jump was a foot less than Jamie Collins - but his Vertical was 0.5" higher which is really impressive athleticism.

I know a couple guys on this board who are gonna be in the bathroom all night.

I wasn't expecting that it would take until the third waiver claim for that to happen.

I am not sure I understand the move but he is an interesting prospect. Some bodies are going to be dropping in Foxboro at some point in the next 48 hours.

That confused me too. You'd think guys with the same first name must be related somehow.

from our week 1 opponent, his athletic numbers look good though. he played mostly ST for Miami last year, back up SS with average size

Thank goodness we have another average safety now. I was starting to worry.

Well at least we know he is not here for his special team’s prowess.

Let down by mostly by their work on punts.R.J.Stanford has struggled as a gunner andDon Jones was so poor he had to be replaced.

They're likely right, and I'm sure they were equally affronted the many times the Dolphins have done the same exact thing to their own opponents.

Arkansas State, 74 tackles, 5.5 TFL, 2 PBU, 1 INT his final season in 2012. Decent stats.

This was the guy that got sent to sensitivity training for tweeting about Michael Sam getting drafted. So i'm sure we'll see some "they signed a gay basher, so much for the Patriot Way"
