any cut rookie QBs worth having on the PS to train as an emergency worst case scenario option?

Not sure if he is worth having on the PS but I did see a report that said Jeff Mathews was in for a tryout the other day.

He's signed onto the Colts' PS.

With The Hammah's departure we really should sign a PS QB if only for scout team reps

Please o please let Finch sign to the practice squad
According to Howe it doesn't look like Finch will sign today..

He is playing a dangerous game if he holds out to see if someone else wants him..
If we got Finch and Shaw it would be mega!

I must be missing something with Finch. So many posters are so high on him, but I saw an undisciplined runner with lousy ball protection who looked like he'd be crushed by a 1st-team defense.

I agree with you regarding Roy Finch. I'm talking about a different person of interest.

Shaw & Finch to the PS!

A running back and a linebacker, that's it?

BB is too busy with trades for the 53 to wast time on PS stuff.
Garappolo for a 2017 7th & a freed up spot on the 53?

Which leads me to believe that anyone else the Pats cut and is PS eligible won't be coming back at this time. Because it seems like Davis and Gray were probably told if they went unclaimed they would be signed to the PS.

They had Jeff Matthews, Cornell in for a tryout yesterday. He was a binky of mine (not that means a hill of beans).

I liked him. Unfortunately he signed with Indy's PSQ. :(

I find that depressing if the Pats really blew off everyone else. Thought that there were several guys worth going after for the PS.

@jeffphowe: Pats exploring other options before Finch RT @BlakeJM: @jeffphowe awe man why not? Pats say no to him or vice versa?

Option 1/2 Seastrunk and Josey? Who else impressed?

Are Gaston and Quarles auditioning for the temporary Chris Jones roster spot?

Good god, we literally CANNOT suffer ONE LB injury this year, unless BB has a plan to sign 3 more LBs before the season starts.

It's not quite so bad if we spend our time in nickel or base 3-4. Ie no more than two linebackers on the field at one time.

Sounds like BB is planning to run a lot of 5-1-5. o_O
