I guess Weeden was there in Dallas and Buffalo doesn't really have a capable backup? Not sure..

Watkins, Williams, Woods & Spiller/Jackson. Orton wouldn't do too bad with that offense. Good thing they will start EJ instead.

Well he makes them a better team if he plays. Good thing he won't play because they're stupid.

I hope he gets a shot. I've felt he has always got a bad deal in his career. Got benched for Tebow for no reason, and then suddenly Denver's defense started playing awesome for Tebow. During his days in Chicago he had literally no one to throw the ball to. It will be interesting to see how he does if he gets to start.

Good for them. They need to try something. Their QB situation is dreadful.

I just pray that the Bills don't realise that Orton will do a far better job.

I wouldn't have mind getting Orton and dumping Mallett. Orton has always been solid but never really given a chance to stick anywhere.

He got benched for Tebow for good reason, Orton was playing terrible

When I first saw this thread, the first thing that popped into my head was that Buffalo just got a lot better at QB, but then I realized that they're still going to start EJ...for now, at least. Orton isn't that terrible and he might even be good enough to lead Buffalo to .500 land if he starts the season early enough.

He might be the best QB they've had since...Bledsoe?

Call it the curse of BB and trying to compete with the Krafts. Every other team in the AFCE has needed a QB for the better part of a decade plus. Hard to believe none of them have found any during our stretch and Tannehill is probably the closest any of those 3 have got (with the possible exception of chad pennington, but his injury history was always going to set him and the team back).
