They must have someone they intend to sign. Ninkovich is not going to be our primary LS, I cannot see it. He needs to play additional snaps like I need Ebola.

Frankly, Aiken has never seemed more than serviceable. But I would be lying madly if I pretended to know the best long snappers on the FA market right now.

Makes sense, a barely average LS has to be the most plug-and-play guy on the roster.

At least Niko is a defensive player so he should be able to get in a few practice snaps on the sidelines before any offensive TD, FG, or punt. I still can't see this as a long term plan.

OLs don't long snap, the post-snap duties require more mobility and athleticism.

Usually it's TE type player that makes a good long snapper, not a lineman
