this isnt the thread for it, but as we're waiting for word on final cut/move ill make this prediction for all you to see...the patriots will make more player trades (giving up players for either players or picks) this year, than any other year...

2 things bother me about this team.
1- Safety. We are keeping 5 because we are not sure if anyone besides DMC can play. Not good. I said it before and I will say it again. We should have taken Harrison over Hightower. We could have drafted another LB instead.
2- Trading your LG for a TE because you failed to do anything about in the past 2yrs. Now we are talking about moving are RT to LG because we traded Mankins away. Sure it might have been about money, but unless you sign Revis to a contract extension now, what was the point?

So they have to sign Reivs now or it dosent make any sense?

At this point in time what difference does it make?

Elijah maintains the wikipedia page that a lot of us are using to track the Patriots current roster and he's got Chandler Jones as a linebacker.

To create fiscal space for signing guys like Revis and McCourty ... in the future?

So we had to trade him now for next yr? Can't trade him in the off season.

If they just did it to create cap space, you'd have a point. But you'll notice they also got a TE they apparently really like and a 4th rounder.

He wasn't very good snyway. Choked in big games.

That is my point. You traded your best OG for a 4th rd TE becaue they failed to do anything about it last yr, or this draft. I agree they will use that money to sign their guys.

It was a terrible trade. There's a thread on it. Perhaps you could discuss it there.

Damn you Belichick! Why you gonna wait until the end to tell us Chung made the team!

Agreed. He's supposed to be a great run blocker but they couldn't run the ball in SB42 or SB46. Even last season with no receivers they abandoned the run after Blount had about 6 carries for 4 yards. Besides that, he got smoked in pass protection most of the time in their playoff losses.

Chung didn't play vs. the Giants. That should have told you that he made the team.
