Patriots Cuts: Boyce, Bequette, Worthy, Beauharnais...

Still wondering if James Anderson gets a call after week 1 if he's still out there. I thought he looked fine in the preseason, although maybe they want that spot to go to more of a ST contributor.

Loved the FA signing at the time for a coverage LB but Anderson was unimpressive in camp coverage and became dead to me (and probably BB as well) when in a preseason game he gave a limp wrested attempt at shoving the player out of bounds and he gained another 10+ yards along the sideline. A mortal sin for a vet. Either lack of will, lack of contact or inattention. Gone!

Correction made. Situation at ILB seems thin to me unless they think Fleming can back up on the inside if needed.

I wonder whether we can read anything into that. The much-prophesized 5-2, perhaps?

Broncos cut Duke Ihenacho. Unfortunately, he can't cover.

Brian Tyms has been informed he'll remain with the Patriots through his suspension, per source.

Per a league source, WR Brian Tyms' spot with the Patriots is "safe until after the suspension."

Tyms NFL dream extended 4 weeks.
I wonder how much Tyms factored into the Pats letting go of Boyce, which I was happy to see (sad to say for the young player). He just wasn't progressing at all. Tyms and M. Butler are two extremely intriguing players for me at this point.

I heard last night that Aldon Smith is allowed to be with the team during his 9 game suspension. I wonder what the diff is?
And he is a two-timer too.

Apparently because smith has gotten help for his problem he gets some sort of pass.

Tyms played like he really wants it.
Love the kid sky's the limit and you know if he blows up he can be retained cheap because he will be so thankful and appreciate having a nfl home.

We may cut below the limit so as to pick someone up from others' cuts. BB has done this before.
My priorities, fantasy that it is, cover LB, cover safety, internal OL.

TRADE MALLETT NOW!!!! :)

Just saw this, and haven't had time to really digest it yet. Very disappointed about Worthy, who I had hoped would stick. Doubt he makes it to the PS, but we'll see.

Mallett and Dobson to the Texans for you-know-who, perhaps?

Garrett Reynolds got cut by the Lions. He was a starting guard for the Falcons last year, he may be worth a look.

Mallett for a linebacker or d end would make sense.
Rams are pretty deep at both positions.

Goodell said that he would take Smith/the team's voluntary 5 games off last year into account, and this was probably his way of doing that.

Unlike pretty much every other decision that Goodell makes, I actually like this one. I think it's a good idea to encourage people to seek help when they so clearly need it.
