Morris released. 59.

Although it should be mentioned that nothing is really official until the papers are turned in at 4pm.

One name to watch: Washington cut RB Lache Seastrunk, their 6th round pick from Baylor. He's got good hands and speed to burn out of the backfield. Most importantly, he gashed the hell out of the Patriots in the first preseason game.

Didn't everyone?

...In any case, I'm sure TFB would have been thrilled with having to take timeouts because Bryant didn't know where to line up.

And how would that have been different from having Chad Johnson?

Look, the notion the poster put out was absurd. There's no need to keep it alive.

For me, the only mildly surprising cut (thus far) is Finch. He looked good out there against Carolina.

No question, WR has been their worst drafting position -- but that's true leaguewide. WR is the single most unpredictable position to draft. That's presumably why the Pats never choose WRs in round one, and sign a lot of FAs to decent contracts at the position.

Ok, fair enough. Let me ask you this: Don't you think their have been a few WRs lately that have been almost certain "Can't misses?" Guys like Cordarelle Patterson, whom I remember patriots fans were SCREAMING to draft last year. He dropped to us at 27, and we traded back the pick. Don't get me wrong, I love Jamie Collins, but we still could have had him with or without the # 27 trade. We did the same thing in 2010 with Dez Bryant, passed up on a sure fire Pro Bowl talent.

If you have watched the last 3 of our playoff losses, it's been the OFFENSE, not the defense that has struggled. In the Giants Superbowl, we scored just 17 points in 2011. In 2012 AFC Championship game we scored only 13 points, In the 2013 AFC championship game, we scored only 16 points. Our offense is struggling to put up points in these big games, because our short game is getting shutdown, and we don't have a game changing deep threat to compensate. We need to find a way to put up more points on the scorecard for these important playoff games. Something is not working.

Nothing here is surprising, many will be gleeful as Bequette is gone...

Good point and great point about Antonio Brown.
Would not wash out Gronkowski wow.

Three UDFA rookies remain so far: James Morris, Malcolm Butler, Eathyn Manumaleuna.

If Morris is healthy it looks like we have two internship winners this year.

Two left. Morris released.

Jets cut Stephen Hill,
should we see if we can teach him to catch a ball?
Maybe he just needs a shower to get that New Jersey sewer smell off of him.

Jets Insider posters will be wicked pissed to see their Randy Moss style future All-Pro cut!

Chris White is so bad...he's also the only backup LB (unless we primarily play nickel).

Good grief, not this Bryant stuff again.

He's nothing but a massive distraction and there is nothing, nothing whatsoever, to say he'd have produced here. McCourty on the other hand has developed into an elite Safety, after previously having a sensational year at CB, as well as bringing leadership and consistency. And he's ours.

Suck it up or start following the Cowboys.

Now, back to the fact that several hundred people are losing their jobs today (something which shouldn't be overlooked).

Somebody here is gonna have a meltdown. In the game 2 or 3? thread I stated a couple times that Finch was PS material not 53. Got a blizzard of a half dozen Dislikes or Disagrees or whatever.

I thought Finch would make it as a KR.

Morris released. 59.

Although it should be mentioned that nothing is really official until the papers are turned in at 4pm.

Wow, I really thought he would make it. Maybe the Pats are taking this "nickel is the new base" notion very seriously.

There goes Manumaleuna.

Say what you want about Dez Bryant, but don't you think it's a little foolish when certain patriots fans say they would rather have Brady throwing the ball to Tiquan Underwood, Chad Jackson, Josh Boyce than Dez Bryant? That's ridiculous.

Anyways, I have a lot of hope for this season. I think we can get over that AFC championship game hump, and get back to the superbowl this year.

Nice strawman. Nobody said that because that was not the choice.

4 cuts to go
