18-1 -

With the only loss coming week 1 against the Doofins in embarrassing 31-0 fashion. Cue the inevitable "They hate their coach" talk coming now.

Im going with 15-1. The packers and Indianapolis are the only two with a shot when the Pats are rolling, btw we have a swiss cheese schedule if anyone hasn't pointed it out.

ESPN's Pats preview includes a forecast like this, courtesy of Advanced Football Analytics, has the Pats loosing the opener, 28-14 in Miami.

That would suck. And surprise. They also have them losing at home against the Jets — which would also suck and surprise.

The Dolphins have a great pass rush and could hammer the re-vamped line, but, the Dolphins offensive line is all new and will be facing a Patriots defense that is hungry to rev the engine. I cannot see how the Dolphins score 28 points against the Patriots unless the referees completely take over.

The Jets beat the Patriots? How are they going to cover the fleet of receivers and tight ends the Patriots have assembled? The Jets are staring at finishing last in the division. I am much more concerned about the Bills.

Most years I start out with 12-4 as a default counting a loss in the division, a loss on the road, a tough opponet, and a WTF (think clevland 2012). This year though.... the roster looks too good and the schedule not that tough so I'm going with 13-3 number 1 seed and winning it all, assuming reasonable health of course.

@Miami W 27-17
@Minnesota W 24-17(AP scares me but the rest of the roster doesn't)
Oakland W 42-10 (in the running for the first pick in the draft and the home opener?)
@Kansas City W 17-14 (First defensive slugfest that shows just how far they have come)
Cincinnati L 16-12 (some teams just have your number and this is a damn good defense)
@Buffulo L 31- 24 (O-line is still gelling and I believe the bills lead the league in sacks a year ago plus this is thier Super Bowl. The pats do not lose 2 in a row often so this makes them angry for the rest of the year's run)
Jets W 35 - 17 (The jets get 4 sacks but nobody covers and brady has a field day)
Chicago W 34 - 31 (If it was in chicago I might change the score but I see a shootout with homefield making the difference)
Denver W 34-28 (see chicago)
Bye
@ Indy W 31 - 20 (sorry mr luck but your defense sucks and we have your number)
Detriot W 24 - 20 (they have the kind of d line that gives brady fits, good thing we have the secondary to give thier WR's fits)
@ Green Bay W 42- 24 (AR is a fantastic QB and the hype of this duel will be insane. What the mediots forget? The pats have a defense, GB doesn't)
@ San Diego L 35 -24 (I think San Diego has been overlooked and underestimated, I expect them to be one of the better teams in the league this year. Not good enough to win the division, but a very solid 10-12 win team)
Miami W 38 - 17 (Its cold and miami is already done for the year)
@Jets W 42 - 10 (See miami)
Buffulo W 35 - 13 (Bill wants this one bad after losing earlier in the year and after a first half thrashing puts in JAG kind of as a mercy rule, otherwise it would be 59-0)

Wild card
Cincinatti (10-6) @ Denver (12-4) Denver W 31- 20
San Diego (11-5) @ Baltimore (10-6) San Diego W 24-20

Atlanta (10-6) @ Chicago (10-6) Chicago W 34-28
Green Bay (10-6) @ Dallas (9-7) Green Bay W 49-42

Divisional Round
San Diego (12-5) @ New England (13-3)Pats get revenge 31 -28
Denver (13-4) @ (12-4)Indy Indy wins 35-30

Green Bay (11-6) @ Seattle (13-3) Seattle wins 28 - 20
Chicago (11-6) @ New Orleans (12-4) Chicago wins 38-35

Championship Weekend

Indy (13-4) @ New England (14-3) Brady shows Luck why he is the best 42-24
Chicago (12-6) @ Seattle (14-3) Seattle's LOB is just too good 27-20

Super Bowl
New England vrs Seattle Pats win an epic game by 3 points on a last min FG 24-21

Going to have to say 12-4. People like to reference our record last year but we had a few miracles in there (saints, browns, denver). In many areas we stayed the same (especially on Offense) but I do like the D and think its better. AS someone else mentioned once in awhile we go out and lay an egg its bound to happen(jets, cleveland few years back).

According to Tom Brady's parody account, the patriots should win the games that he circled:

If all the key guys stay healthy enough to play 15--16 games and the Pats get more good breaks and good calls than bad breaks and bad calls, 13--3.
But I'm not counting on those things, so, I'm going with 11--5.

What really matters?
Win the Division, have the right guys healthy and playing their best ball at the right time, save the good breaks and calls for January, return to the "scene of the crime" and win the SB in February.
