Anyone know why Thompkins is still out there? At this point, it seems like the injury risk outweighs whatever benefit they could be getting from having him in there.

Thompkins either the fourth or fifth WR. He needs his reps too.

No Edelman, Amendola, or LaFell tonight so obviously they are locks, Dobson is a lock, and then Thompkins and Slater is what I am thinking.

Thompkins is a lock in my book. I don't see any sensible reason why he would not make the team, there's no one behind him who could make any kind of case against him, and they aren't going 4 WR (I don't count Slater).

Challenge!

Great snag by Dobson, unlucky about the 2nd foot.

Stupid crowd.

Are they not cutting the rookies hair this year or incognito ruin it for the whole league?

Why did I think that a knee counted as a second foot? I must be confusing one of the rules that count a runner as down and the play over.

I agree. These are my offensive skills players:

RB – Ridley, Vereen, White
FB – Develin
WR – Edelman, Dobson, LaFell, Amendola, Thompkins, Slater
TE – Gronkowski, Wright, Hoomanawanui

It would surprise me greatly.

Why? We're one Amendola injury away from that. Would Amendola getting hurt honestly surprise you even a little bit?

JAG looks like Clark Kent

Thompkins is the 2nd receiver right now to me.

I can't get a TV feed of the game, so thanks to everyone for the detailed comments. What I've gleaned so far (in no particular order):

Offense:

1. Garoppolo continues to impress.
2. Tim Wright looks impressive for a guy who just got here, looks much bigger than 220#, runs well in traffic, has decent hands, and has lined up as a move TE at times.
3. The OL doesn't look terrible, especially Kline and Stork. Halapio has not impressed. Devey/Barker haven't been bad at LT.
4. Dobson has been dominant against scrubs. Boyce and Gallon look like fodder, or worse.
5. James White doesn't impress as a runner, but has solid 3rd-down back skills.

Defense:

1. Malcolm Butler continues to make plays.
2. James Morris got hurt - not sure how serious it looks.
3. Buchanan and Zach Moore look impressive.
4. Overall, the backup defensive unit has been solid.

Not sure about how Jerel Worthy has looked, and haven't heard Darius Fleming mentioned much. Is Nate Ebner getting time as safety, or just on STs, and if the former, has he shown the ability to perhaps be more than a STer?

Does that sound about right?
