Total players: 55

Stork to injured reserve for whatever ails him, and Halapio, Thomas, and Gallon to the practice squad. I hope that Easley and White have good years otherwise our draft class will be worthless to the team in 2014.

Bequette to a 9-5 desk job in Government Center.

This must be a terrible roster. I agree with every player except Moore, although I certainly could see Moore making the 53 instead of Worthy or Vellano. I would keep Morris.

Also, Stork may get a roster spot for a day, and then be moved to the IR-Return list. He has to be on the 53 to do that. There are probably a couple of players who could be waived with little danger and then signed a couple of days later. Morris meets that requirement for me.

See sig, suckers. JB is going to light it up this year and you are all going to look so dumb.

I don't think there is a single poster who has predicted Bequette surviving cutdown.

But with Smith gone, it appears to be down to Bequette or Moore, who just doesn't seem ready to make a 53 to me, as the #4 DE.

It's not unprecedented for a player to make it to year 3 without really contributing anything, but very rare. Marquise Hill (RIP) is the only one I can think of.

Obviously none of us knows the inner workings of Belichick's mind, but can anyone really name one thing Bequette has done to deserve a roster spot?

We may not be capable of seeing what those things are. (Seems obvious we aren't actually)
If Bequette is being kept around as a developmental player because of potential, we would not really see it. If that were the case there would be areas he is working on, that if he improves could get him over the hump and make him a contributing player.
Hill is a good analogy because he was here 3 years and did less than Bequette, but was kept on potential.
Klecko may be another, and one who just happened to play well in preseason against guys who weren't NFL caliber.
Of course it is most likely that Bequette just will never contribute, but it seems naive to think he survived this long without having done things to deserve his roster spot, even if they aren't visible to fans.

I think Jake Bequette have some damaging pictures of Brandy - BB or Kraft thats the only reason I can come up with.

I think Bequette is that guy who always shows up a few hours early, blows up balloons and helps arrange the lawn furniture whenever Kraft throws a party at his house.

"Hey Bill, with the game ending at 4:30, I think we'll get started with the party around 7, but send Jake over at about 3."

He needs to get with the A.D.D. program like the others and turn into a pass rusher like Kerrigan and some of the others cut several times before becoming all pro like James Harrison. Even Sherman who plays much stronger in the NFL than Stanford had some adderall issues that he beat and avoided suspension

So if he makes the 53 this time around, one would think BB has seen enough to believe Bequette is ready to contribute on some level ((and whether BB would end up right about that is very much a ???)).

Just can't grasp the concept of BB seeing anything that made him believe Bequette is ready to contribute. He's in his 3rd camp and he hasn't even been able to contribute against guys that are going to be unemployed after this week.

Then there was the fact that a 7th round rookie (Buchanan) came in last year and surpassed him in camp. And now it looks like Darius Fleming (5th round in his 3rd year) and Zach Moore (6th round rookie) has surpassed him in their first camp with the Pats as edge rushers.

People want to talk about Tavon Wilson as the worst pick in the 2012 draft but at least he has contributed something the little it's been. Bequette drafted a round later in a position the Pats have needed (3rd edge pass rusher) and which there has been very little competition has done absolutely nothing. I mean last year his competition for the year was Buchanan and then over the hill Andre Carter. A rookie and a guy playing what were likely his last games.

Jake needs to hear about the story of James. James just loved football but every time he showed up to the sandlot the kids broke up into teams and named themselves after pro teams like steelers and Ravens and they even had team captains. The steelers had a capt named billy cow her and the ravens had capt. Billick. James showed up to the sandlot to play football but he was never picked to play on a team. Even though these teams let other sorry players play but never James. Even the younger kids who just watched told James he was short, he sucked and to go home. One day the players said your a nerd you suck James go home or to the science lab and play with your geeky chemistry kits and have his fun. Well James did just that. And one day he noticed he whipped up a concoction that made his insects grow very large. One day James watched an ant grow strong enough to beat up a spider and tear his webslinger clean off. James thought wow what if he were to try his invention. Would he get strong enough for the other kids to let him play football. James was so excited he could barely wait to inject himself! Well when he did he noticed he could lift heavy things he couldn't before. James felt now is the time to try again to play the game he loved so much.

When kids saw James coming to the field they laughed here comes James again and said how many times is he going to try to be picked. But when James got to the field the kids noticed he was still shorter but looked very strong. It puzzled kids as they saw James got no taller but grew stronger looking. James asked for a shot to show what he could do. One of the better players stood up to knock James around like the other times James wanted to play. But this time James knocked him around and dominated him. They quickly welcomed James to the team! James morphed into the best player on the field and dominated the sandlot to the point they awarded James with the highest prize you can get on the sandlot and got together and added all their $ up to pay James all their $$ to keep him from playing for the other teams due to James harrison being so good and dominant. Some of the younger kids who watched the older kids play began sneaking into the science lab to get into James invention from his chemistry kit so they could be as good as James when they got old enough to play after graduating.

Jake Beqette I hear works very hard. His work ethic stood out in college and bellichick seems to like his work ethic to have kept him on the team. However he doesn't seem to have the power/ explosion of players with his similar size and work ethic like Kerrigan who at one glance looks like a better player than Beqette although they share similar pro Day stats, size, and work Eric reputation
