I feel like this story arrived from the 1980's.

Seriously, these days kids can do 'brain training' on their X-Station, Playbox...whatever.

lol at x-station and Playbox. When the testing is done, they can post the results on "MyFace." :)

Interesting article on another component of Brady's prep work I was unaware of...

Maybe he really will play till he's 45!
If Brady stays healthy and his OL limits the beating he takes, I could see Brady playing to 45+. Look at how well Manning performed last year with a noodle arm.

High schools that are serious about football should start using these brain training techniques. Neuroplasticity is much greater in people before they reach adulthood. If High schools start using this training, the football intelligence of players will skyrocket.

So, the story is that Brady got a Luminosity account? Come on man. Shoot up all his joints with chimpanee stem cells or some ****. Virgin blood slurpees. Something w/serious voodoo value...

Feh. Neuroplasticity.

Neuroplasticity can be measured using both imaging technologies and cognitive testing. Just because you have no knowledge about a subject doesn't mean that it is voodoo. Do some research and expand your horizons. Here is a good place to start; http://www.mindandlife.org/

Galeb:

You need to recalibrate your sarcasm meter. I don't think PFnV can stick his tongue any further in his cheek than he did there. ;)

It's the part of the body that's not working in people who think haggis is wonderful. ;)

The Scots probably think Haggis is brain food. So yes, you're right.

Ooops. Thanks for the heads up. My sarcasm meter is pretty flakey sometimes.

Thanks guys, confirming sarcasm.

And might I note that within the sarcasm, neuroplasticity was, in fact, derided as not having serious voodoo value, compared with stranger alternatives :)

So shove that up your anterior commissure ;)

Clean.................toilets................better.............beeeeep...........beeeeeep

It would appear that my reading comprehension needs work as well.

Sorry not slamming you Galeb, just riffing on the whole thing... I do have a layman's curiosity about the brain, and I do admit that my thoughts on the subject of neuroplasticity have not been central to that curiosity. But yeah I was mainly riffing... tu for the link :)
