Which player is hoping and praying Jimmy G shines and Mallet gets traded?

Let's play a fun game in speculation, because hey, this is a sports team forum. If Jimmy Garoppolo shines on Thursday and we trade Ryan Mallet that gives an extra spot on the team. Who do you think that player would be?

Boyce. He's got upside that I think they would prefer to keep developing, but right now he's caught in a numbers game and the spots are tight. One more might just allow him to slip onto the 53, at least for 4 weeks until Tyms comes back.

Most likely BB stays at 52 & leaves a slot open to sign best available cut at a position most needed for depth

Yes, I know. But if Mallett is gone, it makes the likelihood of him being able to come back on the 53-man after week 4, higher, I think.

Honestly, I wish we still had Tebow, just at RB/FB. Kid can break a tackle. Would be nice to have in a rotation.

I agree with Boyce. Seems like he could be in trouble, but who knows with BB ? He's not easy to read.

Ja'Gared Davis or Kanorris Davis. Both players on the fringe with potential and play special teams.

Don't think KR is important and don't think Boyce has anything. We have enough midget slot receivers who have the case of the dropsies on occasion
