Panthers out for revenge?

All I care about is seeing Cam Newton lose a couple teeth via blindside sack. :)

No dice, He'll end up evading the sack like last season. I still can't get over how he evaded those 3rd down sacks. The sacks would have been game changer plays for sure.:(

I don't think the staff of the Carolina Panthers batted an eye when we scooped up Gaffney. They have/had an embarrassment of riches at this particular position. They have DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, Gregg Tolbert, and rookie Fozzy Whitaker(had a pretty good game sunday imho). Also, for fun they recently traded Kenjon Barner to the Eagles.

I only see Carolina as a threat for any wide receivers we try to sneak onto the practice squad because they are kind of weak at this position. If Boyce of Tyms kills it Friday and we cut either, the Panthers would have seen them up close and will be better informed than other needy wr clubs if these guys could help their team.

The Panthers being "out for revenge" in the preseason is as meaningful as Denver beating Seattle in the preseason after the thumping that was the Super Bowl.

do you think the panthers might get a little chippy this week, after we essentially stole one of their running backs that they tried to slip through waivers?
Gaffney was not going to help them in 2014 anyway and that is all the majority of the team would care about, also if they were so high on Gaffney that they would seek revenge they would not have put him on waivers and would have just held him until final cuts before moving him to injured reserve.

I think it's more likely the Pats will want revenge for getting completely jobbed at the end of the game last season.

More likely, but still not likely at all. It's preseason. Getting revenge in preseason is a loser's mentality.

Not to mention that its the NFL and 80% of the players are going up against a player of equivalent talent and are more worried about not being embarrassed than about getting revenge. 10% more are outclassed by their opponent and scrambling to get through the game and the last 10% is decidedly better than their opponent and part of the reason is because they focus on doing their job.

I've heard rumors their gm will be suiting up

It's debatable whether gronk would have been able to catch that ball if keuchly weren't mugging him.

After he is cut They can just resign him back on their team.
