Life long Hawk fan here and loved watching Brandon Browner play. I'm curious what your impressions of him are after training camp and a couple of pre season games? I loved watching the guy in Seattle, he would make an occasional bad read or holding / contact penalty but more than made up for it with savvy veteran reads, guesses, hard hits and spectacular interceptions. We will miss his toughness in Seattle.

Has he shown any of this in preseason?

BB in Seattle ='s Brandon Browner. It wont take long, the Pats teammates will be calling Brandon Browner BB. Back to my question, how is Browner performing in NE this year?

Playing vanilla schemes in noncompetitive games is not a strong basis for judgment, but he looks like the same player to me.

From what I've read about practice, he's been quite physical. He hasn't shown too much in the two games though I do recall one play I was impressed with. It wasn't even coverage but rather on a run to his side; he shook off the block from a WR then fought through another block and made a solid tackle. His size is definitely noticeable out there, too.

I saw his reps in the 11 on 11's today. He contests every play. Hard nosed player. Looks like practice, game, warmups, it doesn't matter. He has attitude. We won't know a damn thing until game five though, except he should play well into the third quarter Friday night, so check back.

I'll check back in about a month, he should have made some the plays buy then. Dude is the thug that started the attitude in Seattle. I say 'thug" in a good way, at least when he's on your team. He knows the rules and plays to the limits of each of them. Dude is a bad ass. He will make your team tougher. Just do all of us a favor in Seattle, knock the stuffing out of the Donks. That fan base is unbearable.

Your guys gave them a lasting beating. I'm very stoked to see Browner in our secondary. His type is what we've been lacking for a while.

Thanks Seattle. I think we will

Like this dude to. Thanks Tampa.

As long as he has McCourty over the top offering Safety help, Browner will be fine. That's the beauty of Revis Island.

Lol, he'll be making them off his couch because he can't play until early October.

I've always liked Browner and I've watched a lot of Seattle Football for a long time now. That said, mark my words: Brandon Browner will never be known as "BB" after any amount of time in New England.

Excited to have him opposite Revis though ;)

Browner may end up getting "Maxwell'd" again.

Browner will have a great role on this team he can cover the type of receiver that Talib was effective with. Revis OTOH can cover anyone. BB will know how to put him in the best positions to succeed.

Talib was very effective against for example Jimmy Graham otoh he was ineffective against Steve Smith. Being paired with Revis he won't find himself in the situation Talib had to deal with.

I am very excited to see where he is but we won't know until midseason.

By Butler? :)

Dennard, Ryan, or Butler. Dennard's a solid CB2 entering his 3rd year, Ryan's entering his 2nd, and Butler is the mystery camp/preseason legend. It wouldn't be a surprise to see one of these kids step their game up and eventually leapfrog Browner.

Browner definitely has an important role regardless and I'm excited to see him roughen up one of the Denver weapons.

I just wanna see Browner deck some donkeys myself. :p

As long as the new peyton manning-rule is not enforced too much, browner will be fine.
