do you think the panthers might get a little chippy this week, after we essentially stole one of their running backs that they tried to slip through waivers?

I don't see why the players on the team would be upset if one of their "brothers" was picked up after being released and given a contract by another team. If that is their motivation for revenge, they've got issues.

It's preseason. If they get chippy, sit all the roster locks and have your goons go Gregg Williams on their ass.

I think it's more likely the Pats will want revenge for getting completely jobbed at the end of the game last season.

More likely, but still not likely at all. It's preseason. Getting revenge in preseason is a loser's mentality.

Which RB we talking about?

I remember NE playing CAR in the preseason sometime after SB XXXVIII and it being HUGE for them. And we all know how DET treats their preseason games with NE.

The Panthers have way too many real issues to be focused on a non issue.

It's week 3 preseason. The goal for starters now is to be healthy for week 1

Pats "stole" their running back that they released, but Panthers "stole" a game from them last year on a bad call that ultimately cost the Pats the 1st seed. I would say the revenge quota is still uneven on our end... If anyone should be chippy, it should be us.

That is probably the last thing on their minds...

I really doubt that anyone on either team cares about Gaffney either way. That's the kind of stuff that we get worked up about as fans, but the guys on the field couldn't care less; he was a Panther for like 10 minutes. And even if they do, nobody's going to risk fine/suspension/injury for a preseason game.

I don't even think we will see their starters for more than a drive or two. Cam Newton and the starters played basically to the end of the first half on Sunday night. I expect their starters to make a cameo appearance and our starters will see their back ups for most of the first half.

Hands down the most ridiculous thread of the off season. I mean, WOW!

All I care about is seeing Cam Newton lose a couple teeth via blindside sack. :)
