Is it just me or is Brady throwing a bunch of int's this preseason so far, including practice?

Always happens.
Takes deliberate risks in practice to push the envelope and see how rcvrs battle for ball

My guess is the previous post. He is pushing the limits and can take risks. That way in a game like situation he knows his limitations and how a receiver might act is my guess

Well the one in the Eagles games wasn't his fault if Maneri would have hooked out like he was suppose to it is either a completion or it goes incomplete

This is true and he's also going against better competition from DBs than in years past. I wouldn't worry about it.

Anything on Dobson?

Mark Daniels ‏@MarkDanielsPJ
Aaron Dobson participated in 7-on-7s today.

I think a media member would have mentioned if he participated in 11-on-11s, so assume he didn't. Hopefully he is good to go for Friday.

EDIT:

Observations from Patriots camp: Day 22 - espnBoston

Dobson participates in 11-on-11s: Second-year wide receiver Aaron Dobson, who has spent the offseason recovering from surgery for a stress fracture in his left foot, took part in 11-on-11 drills for the first time at training camp (one play we saw him collide with linebacker James Anderson). He also made a nice one-handed catch in a light drill against defensive backs and showed a strong effort on a sliding catch on a pass from quarterback Ryan Mallett.

Maybe the media member can't count that high?

Just got back from practice...

- Gronk is a go...all the hysterics should just check into their little whine caves now and wait for something else to worry about.

- Hooman practiced today...

- Dobson practiced, looked good. He and LaFell are close, hang with each other on the sideline and look impressive physically...their reps were many and Dobson is moving fluidly.

- Brady is fun to watch up close. You have to be an ignorant submongoloidal moron to ever question this man's desire, drive, and will to win combined with that intangible of leadership. I don't think a lot of this fanbase really appreciates how great a player and a man that Tom really is.He's human. He missed a couple throws today and there's bits and pieces of sky all over this board.I'm close to giving up on all this anal retentive, whiny bullcrap. That's all it really is.

- Roy Finch....saw a lot of him today. He's not tiny, he's Faulk sized. He possesses some shake and has a nice burst. He handled kicks and passes pretty flawlessly and I saw every rep. I'm beginning to think he makes this roster.

- Stork practiced in 7's and 11's...didn't stick out just did his work. I didn't see any gaffes that stuck out.

- Justin Jones makes Gronk look short...sorta. I don't know what it is but he just seems like he's lackadaisical, blase blase going through the motions and reps. I expected some fire, some grit, like Develin brings every single rep but this guy has a dog collar around his neck I think.

- Mayo is back. Easley is full speed contact. CJ looks heavier by about 10 pounds. Didn't see a lot of the D drills as they were on the far field but I saw all the O reps. I'll state what I THINK and let others that were there agree or disagree. Off what I saw of the offense, I believe it's Dobson and LaFell, Amendola and Edelman as the locks, with Tyms then Boyce as the top six.

I took some pics.I'll upload them after I eat dinner. Beautiful day out there for the last viewable practice and the place was jammed as usual. I saw a whole lot more than just this brief synopsis, feel free to ask.

Thanks for the TC update, Joker. Always appreciated.

I think you may have forgotten to list Kenbrell Thompkins, though. If that's the case, I would assume that it's Boyce vs. Tyms for the last "real" WR spot. Of course, Boyce may get it for the first 4 games, until Tyms comes back from suspension.

Joker, the way Justin Jones looks in the drills could be down to his size, being the same height as him I've been told everything looks a bit lackadaisical etc when running and the like - just think, his stride is going to be over 3 feet so things may look slow but a lot of ground is being covered which is why smaller guys (Develin, using your example) will look "busier".

The other 2 reasons off the top of my head would be he plays more fluid so things look more relaxed or he is just lazy, can't really comment having not seen what you have.

With all the returnees, the question becomes who is still missing? For the returnees and newcomers, questions abound for practice attendees:

  • Is Hooman as good/bad as ever?
  • Is Anderson fully mobile?
  • What about Ben Bass? How does he look?
  • Were the Siliga, and Jones pair present at all?
  • Gallon show anything?
  • How did Darius Flemming look?
  • Has Tavon returned?
  • I have heard little about Dennard. Is he fully participating or still being held limited?

Joker, how did Easley look?

Little bit more indepth about the Malcolm Butler plays today from Mike Reiss

Cornerback Malcolm Butler has become one of the surprise stories at Patriots camp and he carried the momentum into Monday’s practice. In a drill with eight defenders, Butler matched up with tight end Rob Gronkowski on the outside. Gronkowski had separation to make the catch, but Butler closed in quickly to strip the ball from Gronkowski. A few plays later in a different drill on a pass thrown by quarterback Tom Brady deep down the right sideline to Brian Tyms, Butler stuck with the bigger Tyms and showed impressive body control to turn in the air and haul in the interception.

Watching the game Friday and reading this, the guy just seems like a playmaker.

I was starving and I had that nagging thought I left somebody out. Thanks, Supa. Yes, Kenbrell is there with LaFell and Dobson. They look and practice like they know it.Pick a number. Boyce will stick the first four games I think but Tyms has shown more production this camp, plus Finch is fielding all the punts. Boyce may find himself on the street in October unless he blows up early in the season. There is no doubt that Dobson and Hawkins bring size to the WR corps that we haven't seen in seasons.

I only saw a little of him, most of his reps were with the D on the far field until they went 11 on 11. He's moving very well. I didn't see him get blown off the line by anybody and he has a very good first step it looks like.

I'm confused. Hawkins or LaFell?

Hawkins is listed as a defensive back.

heh..LaFell...heh heh...I'm still punchy...I'll fix it...thanx for the heads up

How in the world can PFF grade players during TC, during which most of the drills are non-contact,
against teammates, and in pre-season games against other scrubs?
