We are debating sitting front row right behind the Pats bench for a game.

Has anyone ever sat there and what can you say about the experience?

Was it fun enough getting the up close look at the bench to make it worth the potential obstruction of views?

How bad are the sightlines from behind the bench?

Any insight on this is much appreciated.

My buddy has STs in row one Section 110 at the 45 yd line behind the Pats D. Sat there many times.

Sight lines are not optimal but OK. Too close to the field surface but your eyes are 10 feet above it. Replay TV screens show you any stuff you'd missed.

It is great fun cheering the D in person as they return to the bench. Get close up views of BB coaching the D and individual players. See players interacting. Love all this.

Also Brady stands closer to you than the bench as he warms up. It's like you're standing a few yards away.

Downside in 110 is that corporate brown noses have center isle seats and spend entire game walking to and fro for food & beer with no cheering interest in the game.

The best seats are actually towards the back of the 100 section. You are still close to the field, but high enough you can see everything.

Actually, the club seats are the best, but they are overpriced and apparently there is some kind of rule that you have to spend the entire game in the clubhouse rather than in you actual seat.

The seats we are looking for are in Green Bay for the away game.....at least we wont worry about the corporate brown nosers.

What you wrote is exactly what we are thinking...a one time opportunity to catch all that behind the scenes stuff at the risk of losing some actual views of the game itself (hello jumbotron).

Does anyone know anything about Lambeau Field and their front rows and visitor side??

Yup our seats at Gillete are row 29 on the 20-25 and they are perfect wouldnt want anywhere else.

I should have mentioned and my father just did that this was for a road game to Lambeau.

Thanks for the insight. It is exactly what we were thinking loss in sight lines are made up for by the up close view of the bench and interactions. Just wanted to see if anyone had real negative opinion about the view to scare us off.

We are thinking it will be awesome for a one time thing.

I sat in the front row behind the Seahags when Chuck Knox was the coach and Franco Harris was playing for them. A little while ago...

Tony Eason would come into his own at quarterback. He would step in again for an injured Steve Grogan. He led the team to an improbable come from behind victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

Trailing 23-0 in the second quarter, Tony Eason would lead the Patriots to 38 unanswered points. His stat line would read 12 for 22 for 126 yards. Not gaudy numbers by any stretch, but he had no turnovers and accounted for 3 touchdowns (2 passing and 1 rushing).

It was pretty sweet ragging on those guys when they started to lose, we personally got their kickers to practice on the other side of the bench after they both shanked kicks!

But the view sucked... cameras in the way, lower than the players... up a few rows is MUCH better

I can't speak to Gillette but in 2008, I had first row seats right behind the Pats bench at Candlestick and it was quite the experience. Belichick was constantly with the defense every time they came off the field. Adalius was always talking to other linebackers except Bruschi who sat on his own most of the game. Meriweather who I think was a rookie at the time, kept looking towards the stands at this hot girl close to where I was sitting and I couldn't believe he wasn't focused on the game. Seymour was the size of a mountain.

If it was me...Hell yeah. With all the TV timeouts, you'll have plenty to watch

I don't know how good the experience will be for you. However for the rest of us, it will be great, because you can report to us some of the insights and interactions that we never get to see and hear about.

So don't forget. You are not just going to the game yourself. You are representing and have a responsibility to ALL of us. ;)

I had front row seats in the corner of the EZ for the Tampa preseason game in 2012. Got to say, I wasn't a fan...it felt like all I could see were helmets moving around. Give me 225 at Gillette any day where you get to watch the whole play develop.

I sat a couple of rows back in Houston for the 2003 regular season. A Texan fan in front of me was heckling Brady whenever he was on the sidelines. I would yell back "Good job Brady" or something to that effect. One time the Texan fan yelled something negative at Brady and Brady turned and looked directly at me like I was giving him ****.

There is trouble viewing the game, but I found myself watching the video screen to see what was going on.

I can't agree with you there... unless you don't mind standing for the entire game. The first big play of each half gets every row in front of you standing up and they *never* sit back down until halftime or the end of the game. When I was younger, this wasn't a big deal. These days, I appreciate sitting (while still whooping & hollering) a lot more.

I once warned a co-worker about this and he went ahead and bought the tickets anyway. He said he'd never do it again. His legs/hips were killing him by the end of the game.

Sat front row twice. Loved it. One was behind pats bench. Other was behind JAx bench during that playoff game where Del Rio got destroyed again.

Best sport for front row is hockey because you get the hits.

I recall attending/dragging to a Vancouver game with a Texas "Good 'Ol Boy" business associate, who had never been or seen a hockey game. I talked to lots of scalpers and held out for and got front row tickets in the corner.

He didn't understand and questioned why, plus he played Texas High School Futball, and questioned this whole silly idea of watching grown men with ice skates like they were dainty little cheerleaders.

He was holding a tray of beers as we sat down. Then a pair of bodies went into the Boards in front of us and the beers ended up in the air, and on us.

He said he had no idea these guys moved so FAST.

He's become a hockey fan since then.

Has SBB ever let you guys down?

It doesn't look it on TV. When you are sitting glass you change FAST

? Sec 121 in Gillette is EZ, not behind Pats bench? What am I misunderstanding?

This is row 3 IIRC. Was vs the rams 5-6 years ago. Doesn't look close from the pic...but it is
