So.. are we really sticking with what we have at TE?

Edit: what ever happened to Fred Davis? Did he get injured too?

Injured, arrested, went crazy, failed tests for drugs---you name it.

I think Hernandez role has been split up between WR's, RB's and TE. I see it more as LaFell taking some of the routes, Vereen those out of the backfield, and Develin as an H-Back taking some of that role.

Well he is replaced by a 3rd WR, so that was my point.

Like stated in my post though, is Keller completely out of the question now?

The fact that he has received no interest whatsoever from any other of the 31 teams suggests that he's either still too injured, or that he and the Pats have one helluva a wink/nod deal in place. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest the former, although it's certainly possible that another team gives him a shot somewhere down the line.

I agree with that but think they also split up some of the plays he ran for RB's (vereen) and the H-Back.

Well you are talking about a change in distribution. I am talking about the player taking over the role.

I agree, i think he's not ready to play yet. He's not old and if healthy he can certainly help a good number of teams, unfortunately I don't believe there's any deal in place i think he would go to the highest bidder, as Abraham and Freeney did last year. And as much as I would love to see Tony Gonzalez here i just don't see it happening, i think KC and Atlanta would have a much better shot at him. On the other hand I didn't think Revis was coming and he ended up here so let's hope I'm just as wrong about this.

You are the one who started this thread.
Hey bud. Before you completely overreact again why don't you reread my original post. I don't recall *****ing. I only recall stating that are TE depth receiver wise is very thin, and I finished it by stating that I was wondering if Keller was still an option. And looking at it it obviously appears it's not the case. My mistake, I didn't realize that. Now continuing...

Hey I understand the FA market is shot. Waiver wire/cutdowns in a few weeks however could potentially add a few more names to the market most likely.

Edit: what ever happened to Fred Davis? Did he get injured too?
If you understand the free agent market is shot, then stop *****ing. You have no point whatsoever.
Why don't you read my whole posts. It was a two sentence posts yet you couldn't even read the whole thing. I was mentioning the possibility that waiver wire/teams cutting down to 53 as a potential point where we could pick up another body at TE. Read whole posts instead of picking out certain parts of them.

I'm sorry. You must run these forums and decide what threads are acceptable for posting. My bad.

Whereas i think they split the plays up between a number of positions.

the 2TE offense for extremely successful for a lot of good reasons, and that is why it was used, if Bill had a 2nd receiving TE option, i'd assume we would still be using the 2TE offense, b/c tactically it is better than a WR heavy offense

You are the one who called me out:

Are you sure I'm the one *****ing here??

Only with the right players. There are only a handful of TEs in this league that would make our offense better by taking a WR away from Brady.

So I heard. Just read out my posts before making these assumptions of what I'm saying.
Show me an article that states the New England Patriots are returning to a two tight end offense.
