Other than draft position, why is he guaranteed a spot? He has good measureables, but he lacks visible intangibles. Zero Wide Receiver swagger, doesn't exude confidence, no fire or visible competitiveness.
From what I watched in 2013....meh...us my reaction.

Im not "all over" the Tyms bandwagon. Once I see him succeed against 1st stringers I'll be convinced. He's bounced around a bit which is concerning. But you cant discount what you've seen so far. He also exhibits good metrics...plus he's got that fire, competitivenes and gimme tge damn ball attitudeI like in receivers.

Visible intangibles? Really?

Dobson is a lock because they used a high choice on him and he showed talent and promise his first season, there is absolutely no reason to let him go at this point in his career.

Did you not watch last season? When healthy he was open on most plays and seemed to correct the "drops" issues pretty quickly. For the last quarter of the season he was battling injuries.

Assuming he gets back on the field in time for week 1, i'd say he challenges Edelman for most yards (not catches) out of the WR spot.

May I ask why we would cut our second round pick who flashed a lot of potential throughout his rookie season for a guy who's been in the league for two years and has only two total catches in meaningful NFL games?

I agree with OP 100%, even the things I don't agree with.

This can't be a serious post.

It's all about the "gimme tge damn ball attitudel..."

Always.

That was a good attempt at trolling. You should have signed in as a Jets fan though. He's no Stephen Hill after all.

Ah yes Tyms, the new Quentin Sims.

Who knew Stephen Hill has already been in the league 2 years....not me. The JESTs....where WRs go to die. Getting drafted by the Jets as a WR, considering their QB sucktitude, almosts guarantees vet minimum wages on their second contract. Hill may be a 'buy low" candidate when the JESTs eventually cut bait.....if he can learn to catch in a year or two

just because he was a 2th round pick does not mean he has to be a star or even a 1000 WR to have his roster spot justified the kid has talent and will help the pats win games as the #3 or #4 WR
