1. So what's the call on backup QB? Does BB need game 3 to decide?

If Brady goes down, who will help us win more games: Mallett or Garoppolo? If the answer is Jimmy G, there is no point to keep Mallett past this week. Field calls for whoever wants his services for a 6th/7th or send him on his merry way.

2. Ott
3. Chris White
4. Can we just let Bequette free?
5. I've seen enough, Boyce sucks as a WR. Can he develop WR skills in the next 3-4 months? I doubt it.

What did you think about all the running backs last night?
Sure some played late against 2nd and 3rd stringers but I thought overall the group did a good job and were all closely rated for the competition they were up against.

Could be some difficult decisions to make out of that group.

Does Houston need a running back... LOL

Maneri is probably going to be out on his ass for screwing up that route, however understandable it may be. But that won't be the main reason. The main reason will probably be because he sucks. As a matter of fact the entire stable of TE's outside of Gronk suck. I don't see Ott longsnapping for very long either. Hopefully Bequette will be right there with him. How he still has a job can be added as another "wonder of the world".

I think everyone on this messageboard agrees that we do need another viable TE on the 53-man roster.

IMO - Maneri may have been signed 4-5 days ago. But, he still did not look anything special.
Bequette was bad in the game with what chances he had.
Is Lonie Paxton still available? Aiken & Ott look very mediocre.

With Browner suspended the first four games of the season, Butler replaces Browner.

I really, really hope that all 3 of Chung, Ebner & the Error Repeater are not on the final 53.
Otherwise, the rest of the list is a distinct possibility.

Stork hasn't taken a single snap in preseason and has barely practiced, yet he will be ready to be the opening day center - arguably the hardest position on the OL for a rookie to pick up quickly?

Boyce was targeted 3 times and caught 2 of them for 31 yards, he also ran for 13 yards on an end around. The pass he did not catch was the deep pass from Mallett, I thought he should have caught that personally, but it was not a 5 yard gimmie pass that he dropped.

Tyms is suspended the first 4 games, he is not even a factor right now. In addition Tyms was targeted 7 times, he caught just 3 of them for 29 yards. His touchdown catch was impressive.

If anything I thought Boyce improved his chances of making the team last night.

New England at 6:13PHINWE
1st and 10 at PHI 28(6:13) J.Gray left guard to PHI 25 for 3 yards (B.Graham; W.Keliikipi).2835
2nd and 7 at PHI 25(5:34) R.Mallett pass incomplete short left to J.Boyce. PENALTY on PHI-J.Kruger, Illegal Use of Hands, 5 yards, enforced at PHI 25 - No Play.
1st and 10 at PHI 20(5:31) J.Kline reported in as eligible. J.Gray right tackle for 20 yards, TOUCHDOWN NULLIFIED by Penalty. PENALTY on NE-J.Boyce, Illegal Block Above the Waist, 10 yards, enforced at PHI 7.
1st and 7 at PHI 17

(5:20) R.Mallett pass deep right to B.Tyms for 17 yards, TOUCHDOWN. S.Gostkowski extra point is GOOD, Center-D.Aiken, Holder-R.Allen.

If anything, the people in attendance all around us thought Boyce did little if anything to impress. Tyms looked far superior, even though they were both matched up against scrubs . Tyms drew PI penalties that you failed to include in your backhanded analysis.

Please refrain from telling me or anyone who are EYEWITNESSES what they saw at the game. Boyce dropped a gimme 5 yard pass right in front of me and Tunes. There was a penalty on another DB covering another Pats receiver. That doesn't change the FACT that he dropped an EASY pass that should be handled 100% of the time. Did you even bother to WATCH the game?

Agree with the above. Boyce not only has rocks for hands, but also has rocks for brains.

Another lousy WR draft pick by Bill, down the toilet.

I'm always surprised at how old you are. You hide it so well with your immature reaction to anyone questioning something you post.

Thanks for the play information I missed it and was wrong.

B6 you must be a female, expecting males to mature with age. :)

Not. Gonna. Happen.

Not sure he makes the 53 But I also disagree with Vellano being cut at this point. At least for this round of cuts anyway. For me I'm not just gonna give Jerrel Worthy a roster spot just cuz he was a 2nd rd pick. At least Vellano has playing experience as well as playoff experience which is more than I can say for some of the hopefuls on this team.

Agree completely on Worthy, he really needs to actually do something before anyone should consider him to make this team, so far his career has been a complete bust and there has been nothing to suggest he is good enough to play for the Patriots other than revisiting old drafts, which is idiotic imo. I realize Belichick likes to take a look at players who went high but busted elsewhere but he doesn't keep them unless they show something here. Looking at his combine numbers at this point is as dumb as it gets, all that matters is how he has played in the NFL and to this point he has sucked.

I liked the pick of Boyce too. Fortunately for him with Tyms suspended Boyce has several more weeks unless he further beclowns himself more like he did last night, end around notably excepted.

If you hate the Pats, can't stand their [cheap] owner, and [incompetent] Coach so much, please go root and draft-scout for another more deserving team, where your insights will be more appreciated.

You'll be happier, and won't get an ulcer, and probably live longer.

Sadly, Dude is probably gonna make another paycheck from the IR.

If you can find one, but I don't consider this a necessity (too many needs elsewhere). I'm OK with Gronk, Hooman, plus Develin playing a hybrid role. If you need someone to block from the tight end position just toss in another offensive lineman.

They can always reach deep for Solder and Kline.

Keep Tyms, cut/trade Boyce!

The Boyce + Mallett picks will make us a force in the 2015 draft!

It's more that earlier this week I reached out to Joker in PM to try and put an end to our differences and he didn't even respond but he has plenty of time to pull play details from the game book and add 2 paragraphs of angry commentary to it because I dared to question his post.

Lately I have attempted to go to PM rather than get Into feuds in threads and it amazes me how many posters will run off at the mouth and pollute the threads fighting but in a 1on1 setting they say nothing because there is no audience for them to show off to. The other day I had a poster respond to me not to PM him and the proceed to return to the thread and respond to my PM for everyone to see. Apparently internet fighting is a spectator sport.

I wish there were more posters like you who are pleasant to interact with.
