I think it's safe to say that the "Mallet era" is over in New England.

These flags will absolutely back fire. I recall Dave Cowens comment when the refs were calling every ticky tack foul. He simply said "that wasn't a foul."

On the next play he virtually destroyed the offensive player (before flagrant fouls).

He immediately put up his hand, looked straight at the ref and said "that's a foul."

No more ticky tack fouls in that game.

NFL will get so much flak about the flags in the preseason that Goodell will have to tell the refs to tone it down.

Yep I noticed that too. Pretty sure that's intentional on Garoppo's part, to try to make the change in QB as seamless as possible.

They are targeting Butler, going away from Revis. Doesn't help that Butler has a mismatch on his hands. Talk about sink or swim.

Looking forward to better things from that run defense this season...

This announcer is awful. Good job by Ninkovich setting the edge to allow Ninkovich to come in and clean up. Solid assist for Ninkovich by Ninkovich

Two solid plays by Ninko there. So glad he's on our team.

This is a really good sign, when the QB holds on the ball so long he gets sacked. That's great coverage by the secondary.

6 man blitz and the CBs did great. Ninko and the D with a great start.

That was a dominating defensive display.
