Video from practice with the Eagles.

Caveat: Its long, shot from a relatively low perspective, and I was getting jostled by my neighbors a lot so its a bit shaky in parts, but like the practice it gets better about 1/3 the way through and the last 20 mins or so are best. I was going to go today for the second practice with the Eagles, but it's been closed to the public due to weather. Perhaps I'll go Monday if I can, but this may be the last one for the 2014 season. Enjoy!

!
Thank you so much for posting this video! It was great to see this.

I wasn't sure if today's attendance was normal. It was my first time attending and brought the kids.

I got in line an hour and a half before the practice start and didn't come close to sniffing a bleacher seat. When the gates opened, it was a mad dash to the bleachers, I seriously thought someone would be trampled. Seemed like chaos.

It seemed pretty even between the Pats and the Iggles. I had a great view of Revis getting beat by Maclin and he definitely looked like he gave up on the play because he thought it was over.

Highlight of the day was some guy yelling out "Butt Fumble" very loudly when Sanchez got the ball. My 8 year old son said, "wasn't that the video you showed me with the funny music", which was the Benny Hill theme.
That might have been me I was the first guy in my area to yell it then a few others joined in.

Wet, windy conditions make it tough to throw the football. Tom Brady just had football slip out of his hands. Struggles for offense today.

Brady went 12-17 in 11v11s, 6-10 in 7v7s. Mallett 3-3 7v7s and 3-6 in 11v11s, Garoppolo 2-4 in 11v11s, 1-2 in 7v7s.

Malcolm Butler and Logan Ryan made nice plays in coverage in team and 1v1 drills.

Sounds like an amazing day. I'm just curious how they come up such precise numbers — like 25,317 — for attendance. I've only been a couple of times and I don't remember turnstiles or anything else that would actually count people.
I worked the sports department at my college and the way we estimated crowds was by knowing how many the stands Sat when full and guesstimating.
I have been to enough practices and seen there crowd reports that I can generally guess about what they end up announcing. My guess yesterday was 20,000 I was a little low.

I have noticed they have staff with clickers counting as people enter but how can they know if everyone is there for the first time so I still think they guess but maybe with some tools to help.

Possible they use some facial recognition software which I assume they have for in the stadium but I doubt it's set up for the practice fields.

Let's go Finch really rooting for him and Houston to make this roster at Bolden and Develins expense.
The kid has ridiculous cat like moves could be very effective in screens and even out In the slot.
I want to see if Finch can block in the passing game.
I want to see how Houston compares to Ridley as far as exploding out of the hole and wiggle. Plus most importantly protecting the ball.
Make no mistake Bill hasnt paid good cap capital for a back since clock killing Dillon.
These 2 players could very much replace Vareen and Ridley if certain things fall in place.

I don't know what's worse: the analysis in this post, or the fact that two other posters agreed with it.

SO much better view than the in stadium ST holders' perspective. Another great vid!

Wow.

The complete football ignorance of that statement is infinite.

Any Pop Warner coach will tell you that a player doesn't decide when the play is over. That's why the referees have whistles. You practically are trying to argue that the earth is flat. (But I have faith in you that you will still try to argue your ridiculous point).

The irony of you once again giving false information while claiming I'm wrong is noted. Enjoy your day.

Malcom ******* Butler just making plays. Love it

No mayo again?

@jeffphowe: Brady’s targets: Vereen (5 of 5), Edelman (5 of 7), KT (3 of 5), LaFell (2 of 4), Amendola (1 of 2), Tyms (1 of 2). 1 batted incompletion.

Well, Boyce has hit rock bottom.

@BenVolin: #Patriots worked out QBs yesterday and there’s a report they’re going to sign former #Falcons Dominique Davis, but I’m told that’s incorrect

Jamie Collins forced LeSean McCoy to fumble after a catch and run by the sideline. Nice job by Collins to come in late on the play and swing his arm upward like a pendulum to dislodge the ball. Collins also handled his tight end and running back assignments in the red zone, which isn't easy against the Eagles.

Lulz, your contention is a Deus Error! :D Keep believing that the coaches on the Patriots (or ANY football coach, for that matter) instruct players to use their own discretion in judging when a play is over instead of playing right up to the whistle.

Psst, there's a reason why there are referees in the sport. ;)

From Jeff Howe

The Patriots and Eagles wrapped up their second and final full-pads joint practice today, so here's a look at Tom Brady's stats through the four fully-padded workouts with the Redskins and Eagles over the past week.

Brady completed 100 of 138 passes (72.5 percent) in 7-on-7s and 11-on-11s, including 40 of 58 (69.0 percent) against the Eagles.

Here's how he distributed the ball over the four practices.

WR Julian Edelman: 26 receptions, 30 targets

WR Danny Amendola: 16 of 21

WR Brandon LaFell: 16 of 21

WR Kenbrell Thompkins: 14 of 23

RB Shane Vereen: 13 of 19

RB James White: 4 of 4

FB/TE James Develin: 3 of 3

RB Stevan Ridley: 2 of 2

WR Josh Boyce: 2 of 2

WR Brian Tyms: 1 of 2

TE Justin Jones: 1 of 2

TE D.J. Williams: 1 of 1

WR Wilson Van Hooser: 1 of 1

Notes: Seven incompletions were either batted or thrown away, so they were not marked down with an intended target. ... LaFell caught 7 of 9 passes this week to catch up to Amendola, who was only 3 of 6. LaFell has risen quickly lately.

It Is What It Is >> Wednesday practice report: Heavy downpours put more emphasis on rushing attack for both Patriots and Eagles

- Missing from practice: Mayo, Silga, Jones, Gaffney, Gordon, Martin, Hoomanawanui, Williams, Gallon. At practice but not in pads: Wilson, J Davis, Stork.

- Gronk again only participated in 1-on-1 drills early on in the practice.

- Rain negatively impacted passing drills, but Brady did have some good connections with LaFell, Thompkins and Edelman. Mallett had a heavy sleeve or brace on his right leg, and was victimized by drops by Tyms, Bolden and Van Hooser.

- White and Vereen got the bulk of the carries, with White getting most of the red zone reps.

- Chung, Harmon and Ryan rotated opposite McCourty at safety with the first team defense.

- Chandler Jones was moved around to multiple places on the field, sometimes dropping into coverage.

- Punt return duties were given to Amendola, Finch and Edelman.

- The bottom of the roster players got plenty of time to show what they could do in 11-on-11's.

Vereen caught every ball!?!?

The rain must help his catching ablity!:p

Stork actually being at practice might be a good sign for his health. Good to hear that LaFell seems to be picking up the offense.

Keep trolling, but troll someone else. The issue isn't whether you play to the whistle when you think the play is, or might be, still live. The issue is whether you keep playing when you think a play is dead, even if you didn't hear a whistle.

That's a huge difference, but one you're ignoring because you're trolling. You and I, though. We're done here.

Postcard from Patriots training camp: Day 15 - CSNNE.com

A lengthy, detailed rundown on today's practice; here are a few excerpts:

WHO'S HOT
* Jamie Collins had a good day. The Patriots linebacker was all over the field, getting his hands on footballs in 7-on-7 drills and being in the right position to make tackles on multiple occasions during 11-on-11s.

WHO'S NOT
* Stevan Ridley got most of his repetitions with the second-team offense on Wednesday. James White got a number of carries with Brady and the first-team offense, as did Shane Vereen. White has impressed the Patriots coaching staff and his own teammates this summer, and his move up the depth chart may have implications for Ridley's use.

WHAT WE SAW
* Brandon LaFell and Tom Brady continue to show solid chemistry -- something that LaFell spoke to after practice. Even on their incompletions, Brady seems satisfied with what LaFell's doing. On one pass, Brady took blame for a ball that was just beyond LaFell's reach. In the next rep, LaFell and Brady hooked up for a nice completion in the back of the end zone when Roc Carmichael appeared to have LaFell smothered.

* Ryan had an up-and-down day on Wednesday.

* Alfonzo Dennard had a good showing in one-on-ones and looks completely healthy. In contested situations, there may not be a Patriots cornerback with a better vertical leap.

* The Patriots offensive line continues to give various looks with players in different spots on almost a snap-to-snap basis. Dan Connolly and Ryan Wendell both got time at center, with Connolly appearing to get more of the repetitions. Marcus Cannon filled in at both tackle spots. Logan Mankins never moved from left guard, but Josh Kline saw plenty of action at right guard. Jordan Devey -- a practice squad player last year -- appeared to work in at both guard and tackle.

There's much more in the column, including a play-by-play of every 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 for both teams.

Does anyone know if Justin Jones cleared waivers? Is there a site to track the list?

Stork actually being at practice might be a good sign for his health. Good to hear that LaFell seems to be picking up the offense.

Sort of.. Stork wasn't in pads.
