Which UDFA will make the Team?

Size/speed. Isn't Fincha burner? Might be mistaken, I just recall him being a 4.3-4.4 guy or something.

Edit: Google says 4.42 to 4.5, I thought it was closer to Dri Archer levels, ignore the comparison then. Still fast, but not the incredibly rare/elite speed Archer has. Both are still fun players to watch though.

I honestly didn't know the exacts of Finch's numbers either.

I just wonder if maybe White can't be that triple threat kind of RB, KOR, and WR (out of the backfield) that Dri Archer looks to be, maybe a bit more effectively than Finch, that's all? As far as Finch goes, I think he is a bit too raw to make our team this year, although he could be a PS candidate.

My concerns are pass protection, his overall size being a bit too small for a "real" RB load throughout the course of a game should it come down to it, and a lack of knowledge of the system/playbook. I'd be interested in signing him to the PS though, and maybe seeing if a couple of those can't improve by next season.

I'd love to have that "do it all" kinda guy, I think White can be a little more dynamic than Blount in the KO role, if he does get a chance to do it.

I'll go with Tyler Ott.

Right now, barring injury of course, the only UDFA who looks like he has even a remote chance of making the 53 is Malcolm Butler, and even that might only be for the first 4 games.

Butler is the only true 2014 UDFA I'd project to the team at this point, but two other lightly-regarded signings of young players are also looking good: D. Fleming and Tyms. None of them ranked among the board's binkies.

And one position I've heard absolutely zero about from camp is long snapper. No surprise, I guess, but I'm curious whether Ott is pushing Aiken at all.

Gotta go with Butler, but Tyms is a close second if he makes it, it is a great story.. the latter will not count against the roster for the first 4 games...If we believe in the "fragility" of our WR corps, makes even more sense..

BB may have seen a few plays from Dri Archer and think he could possibly have a cheaper version in Finch.

Dri Archer was a major draft binky of mine, but that's because the man is a rare blur on the field. Archer's 4.26 40 was the second-fastest in Combine history, and just contemplate his unearthly 1.46 10-yard split. He makes Sammy Watkins look slow off the mark. And yes, Archer's speed translates to the football field. He's an exciting player.

Finch just isn't that kind of athlete, not even close.

Yeah, I was contemplating adding Tyms & Darius Fleming to the list of 1 (Butler), but as you mentioned, they're not technically 2014 UDFAs. I do agree that they also have a decent chance of sticking on the 53, especially if Tyms can look proficient catching passes from Brady while being covered by Revis/Browner, and if Fleming can contribute on STs as well as the other backup LBs.

Butler, he can be the CB that starts the year with the team while Browner is suspended. I do like looking back on this thread and seeing the people who are saying Justin Jones, Asa Watson and Stephen Houston

Butler and Tyms have to be the obvious choices after the 1st preseason game.

But there's another 3 games go to, and Pre Season doesn't guarantee anything. Remember Zach Sudfeld last year?
