I'm pretty sure that the guy who started the custom of dumping a large bucket of fluids -- typically Gatorade, icy or otherwise -- over a winning coach was Harry Carson, at a time when Harry Carson's defensive coordinator was BB. That's the kind of bucket dumping BB welcomes. Steve Belichick even got caught in one of them after a Super Bowl ...

Ehh its for a good cause.

Edelman did it, and he called out Amendola, Gronk and Brady.

Must be a big news story if CBS picked it up. Oh wait -- All in the family I guess.

Cheap PR stunt. There are a lot of good causes and which ones you help out is a personal choice.

*Edit: It's possible that BB is in on this ... but that would surprise me. If he is then, hey, his call ... as it should be.

I think is a very good cause. ALS is becoming a very common disease that most people don't realize. I lost my very, very close brother to ALS in 2008. I think our precious BB can take 2 minutes out of his life to do it. And you know what else, I think he will. I know I'm certainly going to try to find a way to do this myself.

I am very sorry for you loss, SBR. ALS is indeed a devastating disease, and raising money to fund the
research is a truly worthy cause. The matter to which I find objection is why a pair of anti-Patriots
blowhards would deem themselves worthy of challenging not their co-workers or their families or
their neighbors, but the HC of a team that they do not wish to see succeed. As Azorian stated earlier,
Edelman challenged his teammates; he didn't challenge 98.5's program director.

ALS is a killer, and a cure for it must be found. Some of my family & in-laws have also participated in
the ice-bucket challenge. My gut tells me, however, that Doucher & Richie used Bill to draw attention
to themselves more than to the cause.

Do I think he will do it, no.

Do I want him to do it, yes! That would be awesome!

Would be great if he did it and challenged Cary Williams.

Does anyone know if Brady/Gronk accepted? I'm sure they can all pony up the $$ without batting an eye, but either of those guys doing the ice bucket challenge would really give it even more attention.

I'm sure Gronk would take part. Maybe he's got his people coming up with a way to do a Gronk-style bucket challenge.

Linda's tweet is obvious confirmation that this will happen!

BB will def do this. This is right up his alley. Bill is the kind of dude who does the opposite of what everyone thinks he is going to do. Hell why WOULDN'T he do it? I think it's awesome.

BB just got challenged by Giants owner Mara today and Linda Holliday now is tweeting with winky faces "stay tuned" about it for the past 20 minutes.

Gonna happen, just had to wait for the appropriate pay grade.
