This is actually smart. When they lose in a blaze of glory after failed promises of superbowls etc. they won't have to worry about passing field sobrieties when they drink their pain away.

Seriously though, wtf. These guys claim to be our rivals? I have to wonder if BB sees this stuff and just smiles contentedly to himself.

As a result of the decreasing effectiveness of absurd claims and grandiose predictions, the Jets are exploring more "creative" ways to generate buzz. After dismissing a fan proposal that "winning games" may be an effective way to generate buzz as rediculous, the Jets have opted for a more reasonable approach.

So you don't think it stacks up against the Patriots' skill-building "Slip'n'slide" drill?

It's just rookie hazing, I presume. Jets aside, I like it -- good old-fashioned silliness.

Hadn't thought of the hazing, for some reason... But yeah, I would take a slip'n'slide over this any time! lol

The real challenge on that team is to choose which donkey to pin the tail on.

Greg McElroy chimes in saying that he wishes that he had gotten this kind of preperation for how it to play for the Jets.

There have been rumors for years of Rex Ryan's secret underground sex lair. Since baseball bats may not have been the best choice for drilling, the search continues.

Jets: Business As Usual.

We used to do this with the kids for the end of camp games and it was always very funny (Kids and Counselor) to watch or participate. I had one kid who actually ran faster than he normally did because he was in a constant state of (near) falling down.

As for a caption...I got nothing. there was something starting to work its way in there about trying to use the bat to communicate to the ground, but it didn't get very far.

Rex Ryan seeing how quick their FEET are. The losers have to do it bare foot after Rex Ryan puts lotion on the FEET.

The Jets try to save money now that they no longer have Kellen Winslow to hook them up.
