Garoppolo vs. Redskins (VIDEO)

It's really impressive, his poise and confidence is remarkable, even when under pressured, made all the right calls and moves. Also, I really want to see a comparison between Garoppolo's release time and Brady's. That's really incredible

Go to 3:25 and look at who is clapping about a meaningless catch in the 1st preseason in the 4th quarter with less than 2 minutes to go

When looking at a QB don't pay too much attention to the level of competition, look at how natural they look.

TFB looks natural and everything is fluid.
You can see that with Garoppolo.
Mallett & Tebow everything looks unnatural and forced/robotic as 2 examples to compare against.
That was my big problem in the game. He didn't look at all comfortable in the pocket. He looked like he didn't want to be there. While TB looks like he doesn't really care where he are as long as he can pass and then flows around in the pocket naturaly like water streams around rocks. Garoppolo showed some of that too in the game.

... the redskins starting DBs aren't even good, let alone their 3rd string.

You've forgotten that they have DeAngelo Hall. He makes everyone in the defensive backfield better just by suiting up and creating the threat that he'll play. Really, this is true. Just ask him.

Are you saying that they won't let him use his mobility to play QB? If you are I disagree. Guaranteed a big reason why they drafted his because he has mobility.

They drafted him for a lot of reasons,if they want him to stay healthy unlike some mobile Qb's the first thing they will coach him on is to run
only as a last resort.

If he plays like that for the next 3 pre-season games, he's making the team.

He's suspended the first 4 games anyways, so if theres an injury (which there always is) Tyms could have that roster spot.
I wish he wasn't suspended, because I'm not sure Dobson will be ready, and even if he's ready for the first game, he's gonna be very rusty if he doesn't practice OR play in the preseason games.

the kid looks great. much more fluid then mallet looked in the series i saw him,

Mallet kind of reminds me of a Worse drew bledsoe.

Matt Cassel.

When Brady was out they tailored the offense to suit his strengths - rolling out of the pocket, scramble if its there.

Great performance by the groper, but one quibble. Sure Jones "should" have caught that, but a pass around the ankles/knees to a fairly stiff 6'8" guy he had to stop and bend over for is not optimal.

He had time to set and make a better throw.

Our OC also drafted Tim Tebow and we can deduce there is a wrinkle of the playbook we don't see because Tom doesn't have wheels. I don't think when they finally settle on someone new it'll be a Tom 2.0. Nor do I think it will be a Vick clone. This team values, above all else, versatility. They'll settle on a QB that can do the proverbial "all of the things." Garopollo might end up fitting that bill nicely.
