I'm going with JAG.

I actually have grown to like JAG. At first it bothered me a bit, because we were writing off a guy so quickly as a "jag" who hadn't even played a snap of preseason football.

But now it kind of fits as a dual purpose anagram - his initials, and also meaning "just another guy", but in a chip-on-your-shoulder motivational sort of way. He is "just another guy" from some unknown small school who people wrote off fast, and now he can show them why they're wrong, potentially.

Brady forever remembers being the 199th pick but wears it as a badge of honor by having proven everyone wrong, Jimmy can encompass the same idea with the "JAG" moniker. Just my two cents.

I saw Gametime Garoppolo on twitter and I like it.

I can't help but get Soprano out of my head if only for the wonderful TV series references that will come out of such a nickname.

I also like JAG - whatever he becomes as a QB.

If he's a stud, it will be one of those ironic nicknames. Sort of like the 6'6"guy named Tiny, or the big fat guy named Slim.

If he becomes Tony Eason, then the nickname will fit him perfectly. And JAG will be a nicer name than ****y, the nickname I had for Eason.

Quite frankly, I'd rather not call him at all for the next 4 years or so...

his teammates have named him "Jimmy G"...in college it was JG1

Still like Jimmy football for some reason...f the browns and that coke monkey...
