If Tyms keeps performing well, Boyce could be in danger.
I'm not cutting Mallett any slack whatsoever.Tyms could be a find at worst he's a practice squad player.
I've been banging the Tyms drum for a while.
It's one game let's cut Mallett some slack.
I like Boyce people who want to see Boyce cut I'm not a fan because he can be a player with the reps and the talent.
Tyms, I'm afraid if they try to sneak him onto the practice squad, he'll be snatched up on waivers. He's this year's Thompkins, though his measurables are even MORE impressive.
Garoppolo because he can actually make short passes and have some touch & control on what he does.
This kid has created more buzz in one half than Mallet in 4 years. It's not a exaggeration, too
Garappolo made some very good throws. The bomb that Tyms almost caught, the sideline long gainer, and the TD pass were all beautiful passes. He was 9-13 (69%), for 157 yards, 1 TD and 0 INTs. Very impressive. So much for his horrible camp.

Welcome to the board Ross!
Mallett is starting to approach Tebow's level of incompetence.I'd cut the Hammer some slack if this was his first or second season...he's been in this O for 4 years...throwing the ball at the feet of wide open receivers is NOT what a 4th year backup should be doing at this point.
I agree, i too think he tries to emulate Brady so much that he loses track of himself, his qualities and deficiencies.I feel like when Mallet plays he tries to process everything at once the way Brady can and gets overwhelmed with it. Also, and this is pure speculation on my part, but his body language and expressions when things go wrong seem to suggest he sometimes doesn't believe he's to blame for the mix-up; even if that was true, I just don't like that kind of attitude given where his game's at. It's like he tries to act as ****y/confident as Brady despite not even having a single yard of the same track record.
With JAG, I saw a guy who's understanding of the offense is clearly limited, but showed good pocket presence, speed of release, and most importantly, played to his strengths rather than force things he wasn't comfortable with.
I'm not a Mallett fan, but that press conference had some questions that didn't need to be asked of him, IMO.
Diamond in the rough?
Moreover, everytime i look at his plays it just seems so robotic, really not natural.
Boyce caught passes against starters tyms caught passes against future construction workers. That is a tremendous difference. If I were Boyce, I'd already consider myself in danger.
Before his TD they showed him in the huddle and i thought to myself his frame reminds me of Moss. Little did i know he trained with him. Dude has big upside imo.
