Darrelle Revis Gives Julian Edelman New Nickname: The Energizer Bunny | NESN.com

Forget Minitron, Julian Edelman has a new nickname. The New England Patriots wide receiver, previously known as Jules, Ju Ju, Minitron and Squirrel, has been dubbed The Energizer Bunny by his new teammate, cornerback Darrelle Revis.

To which Edelman responded thusly:

I had never heard "Ju Ju". I think that's my favorite.

Coming from Revis, "energizer bunny" could be positive or negative. A mechanical, toy rabbit with a marching band drum probably isn't too hard to cover.

I believe that's his mom's nickname for him.

Considering the continuation of that quote is "he just keeps going" I think makes clear that it's a positive.

I think Ju ju - Edelperson - Minintron - Energizer or whatever his name is will surpass his numbers from last year baring injuries. I think "whatever his name is" workingout with Brady this offseason cemented the possibility of what I said coming to fruition.
