I have had to turn in a number of tickets for games this year due to the illness of one of the ticketholders. The Jets game was one of them and at the time I put them on the exchange the tickets sold within 20 minutes. Sunday afternoon I put my three tickets for the Bengals game on the exchange at 4:23 and received confirmation that they had sold at 4:26. Out of curiousity because of another post I had read I went on to the Stub Hub site yesterday morning......and there are my three tickets with a face value of $99 each advertised for $239.00 each. Stubhub had listed the section, row, and the specific seat numbers. I thought by putting them on the exchange that a true fan could pick them up at close to face value, however apparently that's not the case.

next time you have to do this, put them up for sale here first...better true Pats fans than a weasel ticket broker

I might be misunderstanding your question. But, my understanding is that once you've released them to the TE and they're sold - you're no longer responsible. In other words, if someone sitting in your seats starts a riot and get their tickets pulled - you're in no way liable for their actions. They would just look it up and be like "oh, he released them - we'll penalize the season ticket holder or wait list member who bought them instead." I think the ticket brokers are paying gophers to get on the waiting list with the expectation that they snap up as many tickets as possible. This would only work for e-tickets, but I wouldn't put it past any of those guys.
No misunderstanding. I would sell them back to the Patriots knowing that I was not responsible any longer if someone screwed up while in my seats. But I thought some waiting list Pats fan would have a chance at them for face value. Win win situation. But now that I see what manipulation is going on with Ticket Agencies I would rather just sell them to you guys. The Patriots front office better address this. Or better yet I will make some friends with some of you. I do respect the knowledge and support you guys display. I have been fortunate to have the tickets, and want true Pats fans to sit in my seats at face value. It would discust me to have enemy shirts in them because some lowlife TE sold them to outsiders

I took some of the advice offered here since I had put my tickets for sale on the TicketExchange (which sold quickly) and found them listed on StubHub. I took a screenprint of the StubHub page referencing the section, row and seats and forwarded to the Patriots email address that appeared on both the confirmation that my tickets were listed on the exchange and in the email indicating that they were sold on the exchange.

Personally, I think the Patriots ticket office should eliminate the e-ticket option and only deal
with the traditional ticket stubs, only available for pickup a couple hours before kickoff.
I think that would eliminate the ability for brokers to snap up tickets using 3rd parties on the
waiting list and have a long enough window of time to unload them. I mean, the sole reason
they have pickup only on the day of is to virtually eliminate the tickets from entering the secondary market, right? So, it's solely the e-ticket option that's messing things up. Correct me if my logic is incorrect here, but this topic has made me heated! I mean, would you pay 2-3 times face value upfront only to be told your pickup instructions consists of: "Meet me by the ticket window near the CBS scene @ 11:15 sharp? I think not.

Very interested to see how they respond. Please keep us posted.

Is the email address you sent the information to one that actually has an inbox? Just want to make sure that the Patriots actually get the information. Sometimes email addresses are set up to send email but not receive them.

I would have thought just the opposite -- teams should drop all traditional tickets and go with only e-tickets. Because I would have thought that no one would be crazy enough to buy an e-ticket from anyone they don't know. I know I sure wouldn't. How do I know the seller hasn't printed out a zillion copies or emailed the PDF to a zillion people?

So I had long thought that going e-ticket-only would destroy the scalping market because there would be no way for scalpers to provide any assurance their tickets are legit.

But on reflection I guess that destruction would really only happen with traditional scalpers. Corporate scalpers like Ace and Stubhub who are willing to put their money behind the e-ticket in the form of a guarantee make it reasonable to trust the e-ticket after all (and I'm sure Ace and Stubhub make the person posting the tickets sign something agreeing to pay $$ to Ace and Stubhub if the ticket is bogus which makes it less likely bogus tickets would go up for sale in the first place).

Still, making ticketExchange be physical ticket only would be really annoying. Right now if some friends and I want to go to a game I can buy the tickets (potentially at the last minute) and forward my friends' tickets to them and there's no need to arrange to meet anywhere outside the stadium. And they can still go if my car breaks down or I get sick or my kid gets sick, etc. With physical tickets I would have to go to the ticket window pick up my tickets and hand them out.

I don't know what the poster used, but [email protected] is a live email address with a real inbox.

Hmm. Given those addresses I wouldn't assume anyone in the NE organization will ever see your email. Try [email protected] eventually.

Stub Hub has nose bleeds for under $200 ... sideline's for $550 ... ehh it's only money.

Thank you! I'll give it till Friday and if no response will use this email address to forward the orignal email to.

I have emailed the [email protected] email many times and usually get timely responses. That is definitely the email you should reach out to.

Tickets are moving fast today.
