Who to contact for an autograph?

Thanks again. That sounds like a good plan. I'm still struggling to find a front office contact address for the Pats. The only physical address I can find is:

Gillette Stadium
1 Patriot Place
Foxborough, MA 02035

...but that could go to anyone. I found a phone number for the Customer Service Department (508-384-4333). I'll call them and see where it leads.

Be sure to tell them you're flying all the way here to see them. Since you're putting in such an effort to get here, maybe they'll ask Brady to hook you up.

You are probably not going to get anyone from the team to get you a Brady autograph. He just doesn't do it.

I know off some people that have certain connections to players. (DJ's, club promoters, barbers, etc) they'll be the first to tell you, you have just as good a chance of having lunch with the President than getting in close with Brady nowadays.

Yeah, I actually joked with a friend that we'd probably have more luck meeting Obama. Does anyone have his number?

I'd try to find a way to contact this guy and come up with a good story involving lots of love for Brady and Mr. Kraft in particular.

Thanks for the contact. I sent an email to the Customer Service address. I'll see where that goes. If I don't have any luck I'll try Stacey. If he can't help, I'll give Obama a call. Maybe he'll take us for a ride in Airforce 1. :p

If you've been a Patriot fan for awhile it might not hurt to tell a sob story about how you're the only person in Australia that knows what American football is, and how you've been watching the Patriots since way back when, and now you're finally getting a chance to fly to the states to see them live.

Americans are suckers for a good feel good story. Jazz it up, pull a few emotional strings, and maybe you'll get lucky.

just go knock on Brady's door and yell "Ozzie Ozzie Ozzie ,Oi Oi Oi.."

Giselle will definitely see what the racket is all about and maybe you can sweet talk her into a walkabout with Tom...hey,just don't be shy...;)

The Australia angle might work, but otherwise it's gotta be tough. There is such a market for super start athlete's autographs these days that the assumption is that someone is trying to get it to sell it (in fact, the foreign country angle has probably already have been tried...and I'm not suggesting that the OP is trying to scam anyone). Many of the superstars sign a few to be considered "good guys" but usually only when not signing would make them look like jerks, but otherwise fuhgeddaboutit. I haven't been to a professional golf tournament in a long time, but even there I noticed that guys like Tiger or Phil sign mostly for kids and walk by the adults asking for their signature. Of course, if you want an autograph from a backup guy on the OL or a PGA tour professional who's happy just to make the cut...then you're in good shape.

You could try to send something to Gillette in a self-addressed stamped envelope and hope for the best. I sent Kenbrell Thompkins an 8x10 photo of the catch last versus the Saints and he sent it back personalized "To Geoff" :D

Yeah, it would get pretty annoying having people ask you for your autograph every time you went out. That and the fact that many fans would sell the autograph would turn you off.

I sent an email to Customer Service asking if I could do that. I'll give them a few days to reply. If they don't I'll give them a call.

I'm sure the pimply faced intern who checks the generic "customer service" emails will bring it right up to Brady.

I figure the Pats have some sort of personnel structure with layers of people between that "pimply faced intern" and the quarterback. Sheesh!

"You can't fit two tons of fertilizer in a one-ton truck."

"But it's here! It's now! I've GOT to do it! Help me! Help me!" *

* From a radio ad in Iowa, many years ago. Not specifically relevant to this thread, but for some reason it came to mind. Carry on.

I'm 32 years old and have been collecting autographs for at least the past 20 years of my life. I'm an obsessed Pats fan and have never gotten a Brady autograph. I go to camp every year but no luck. I get a bad rap b/c I'm sure most players think I'm one of those guys who turns around sells them. Instead, I've got a pretty sweet autograph display in my man cave. Love it.

Like you the autograph doesn't really mean much unless I get it in person. Brady will be one tough guy to get. My advice would be to aim lower (Gronk, Wilfork McCourty, or Edelman). Your odds will be much better and they are still big names.

I lucked out, got Brady to personally sign my Ty Law jersey (right under Bledsoe's Auto!) way back when he was a rook. Game in Indy, as I waited outside the fence by the busses. Also got a auto Panoramic of XXXIX by Brady from Visa (I was one of the 1st 100 that signed up for the Visa Extra Points.)

Email and write a letter. Maybe when he sees all that Australian postage, he'll hook you up.

Well, he'll run it by Bob Kraft first!

I think you're right. There is a huge market for these autographs in the internet age. A guy who can't hold down a day job can clear a few thousand bucks if he gets his hands on a couple of signatures in demand. That just falls under the category of petty theft, but, more significantly, I believe we underestimate the number of people who are obsessed with major sports and entertainment figures and who have fantasized a relationship with them wherein they are entitled to their attention. It's why so many of them travel with bodyguards or only go to places that cater to them.

I've been fortunate to have a couple of high profile friends and it's amazing/appalling how many people not just stop them on the street to shake their hands (no prob with that, but keeps the Purel bottle busy) but who seem to think they can just stop by their table when they are trying to have lunch or a drink and strike up a conversation. There are only a handful of places in NY where I can go with people like that and know that those at the other tables "get it" that they don't want to be engaged beyond "hello."

Your best angle is a bona-fide OZ postmark on your letter with a postage paid response envelope. Good luck!

Actually, Americans are suckers for an underdog. Tell them that you've been a Pats fan for longer than @ausbacker has but just don't get the credit for it and a Brady autograph would be the redemption that you've been seeking.

@chris-in-oz needs to pull the old "that's not a knife" routine. I find that works pretty well.

Hi guys, sorry I haven't responded earlier. I ended up ringing Customer Service at midnight last night (my time!). Very nice lady suggested I send a football to Mr Tom Brady at Gillette Stadium. She didn't promise he would sign it, but you never know if you don't try. So I ordered a genuine Wilson "The Duke" NFL football on eBay. When it arrives from LA I'll repackage it with a nice letter to Mr B and send it to Boston. Hopefully it will be waiting for us when we arrive with an autograph. It could be the most well travelled football in the world!

I'll let you know how it goes. Now I just have to get tickets for the game.
