I would have to strongly disagree with you. He went on Comcast with his so called info that he alone had that Brady's infection was so bad he would not start the season. He said all the beat writers and NFL insiders were wrong and that's why he made the comment that he has a family to feed and doesn't make things up. It was all a lie and he tried to put himself above his colleges. He had no info and it was all made up and the end result was Brady was fine week one and has been fine since.

Brady
Last week, CBS Sports analyst and former NFL general manager Charley Casserly reported New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is off antibiotics, the knee infection was gone and rehabilitation was on schedule.

Not so, reports Tom E. Curran of NBCSports.com.

Curran, citing an unnamed league source, writes that while Brady's infection might be gone, it didn't clear out until after it ravaged Brady's injured left knee and delayed his rehab timetable.

Matt Cassel, alert your accountant.

Brady tore the medial-collateral and anterior-cruciate ligaments in the season opener. He underwent surgery on Oct. 6, but Curran reports the ligaments remain loose because of the infection and another surgery will be needed to strengthen them.

If Brady chooses to have another follow-up surgery, he wouldn't be able to play in 2009. If he chooses to forego the surgery, he'll play on a feeble knee and require a bulky brace.

Curran also reports scar tissue has built up in Brady's knee, putting rehab significantly behind schedule. Curran's source said the scar tissue is limiting the knee's mobility and will need to be surgically removed.

Different take and a more trusted source! I googled this story and all the NFL people said Tom Curran was flat out wrong and even people from Brady's camp said he was right on schedule which he had been.

SI.com's Peter King disputes Tom Curran of NBCSports' report that Tom Brady's recovery from ACL and MCL surgery is "well" behind schedule

There was one person reporting the Mallet to Houston on draft day and it was Curran. ESPN even went with it until the Houston reporter squashed Curran's story. The Houston reporter is pretty tied into the team and he rebuffed Curran's story as soon as Curran tried to run with it. BB also lit up Curran during the draft press conf.

I'm familiar with the story/report, PATS68, but I don't think that "he made it up." I would guess that he either had a source who was wrong, or he threw some speculative spin on a pessimistic insider report that he had gotten.

Like I said, I understand where you're coming from, but I think that we see examples just about every day with reporters and networks who spread misinformation and are incorrect. We live in a day and age (especially with social media) where reports are wrong all the time. My opinion of Curran is that he's far from perfect, but I trust his sources and opinions just as much, if not more, than most others.

You seem to feel differently, so we have a difference of opinions on this particular issue.

Impressive coverage, and one more reason for the insane amount of hype that we have for him this year.

The fact that he's a former Jet only makes it that much sweeter.

Just happy to contribute somehting other than to the B@$ch fight about some Boston sports writer. Or to claim that I have an indepth knowledge others don't i.e Mallet was outplayed by Hoyer... but was cut anyway due to salary.

Good one guys. Let's keep the training cap thread about training camp info yeah? There is more than enough to get excited about before game 1.

I'm not surprised that a thread webbed off into another topic for awhile, as most seem to do, but thanks for sharing the video. I agree that there's plenty to get excited about, and the season can't get here fast enough.

As others have said, Revis not only makes our defense better, but he can potentially make our offense better in practice as well. It's always good to go up against such a talented player on the other side of the ball throughout the year, and his work ethic in practice situations is second to none.

Brady to Thompkins 50 Yarder over clark (i think?)

I think you're correct. Pretty sure it was Ryan Clark. Another good one--many thanks.

EDIT: this wasn't how I envisioned it in my head. Thompkins made a nice adjustment and layed out for that pass. It's good to see video of the play.

The deep ball from Brady to Boyce. I wonder looking at this if there would have been a sack here in a real game? or if the pocket was there but the rush just went around Brady?

Yeah, looks like it may have been damn close in a real game setting. Then again, Brady is shifty back there at times, so who knows?
