I was wondering if anyone would be able to help a newbie out from PA. I am going to Richmond on Monday to our first training camp with my son and daughter. We weren't chosen for a "lottery" during the first round, but just received an email with tickets. I guess some people aren't planning on attending.

Can someone please give some helpful advice as to what to expect and would anyone know if my children would have the opportunity for some autographs from the Patriot players? Found info about Redskins autographs, but not visiting teams. I know many of you attend camp in Foxborough, which is different, but wanted to get any advice about camp as possible. Thanks!

Usually visiting teams wouldn't autograph but who knows? I wouldn't think they wouldn't since most will be redskins fans.

In this "lottery" did you win $$? I hope!

You need to win a lottery to watch your team practice?? That sucks!

Here's hoping the Kraft's never do that.

TC being free is a great way to grow an already huge fan base. Imagine being a little kid, having the chance to get an autograph from Brady or a Gronk? Something you'll never forget.

I remember going down to Bryant College and watching them when I was real young. It was much more intimate then and made a huge impression on me. Seeing them so up close is something I'll never forget. It definitely made me a big fan.

The lottery was just for tickets for attendance. My wife and I both entered, but didn't win :(. Sad that its only 50 minutes away, and I wont get to attend.

Actually the lottery is only for when the pats are visiting for the joint practice. demand spikes up so they made the lottery to give people a chance . Most other practices are open . I sadly didn't get a ticket

Exactly. In fact, Snyder is marketing it heavily knowing that the Pats will be a huge attraction - - on their website advertising the lottery, they put a big pic of Brady which pissed off not too few of the diehard Skins fans. From the Washington Post Insider, however, there will be a "first-come/first serve" standby line:

Redskins announce ‘standby line’ for fans who still seek tickets for Fan Appreciation Day and joint practice with Patriots

"RICHMOND — With tickets still remaining from the much-ballyhooed ticket lottery for Redskins Fan Appreciation Day and next week’s joint practices with the New England Patriots, Redskins officials on Wednesday announced a “standby line” will be made available to those wanting to attend......

.....Fans who didn’t get tickets to Fan Appreciation Day or the joint practices through the lottery may line up near the entrance to the complex along DMV Drive. They’ll be admitted all four days on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those are the only days of training camp that require a ticket. The full training-camp schedule is available here.

how many people can that place hold?

I was really bummed when we weren't chosen at first. You had to RSVP at first for a ticket. Then 2 days later they installed the lottery. I was really mad because I already reserved a hotel room for us, but then needed to cancel. Luckily, we got an email yesterday granting us tickets for Monday. I feel bad for the others that weren't selected. I think I read some place on a Skins related site that only 3000 people would be granted admission. Pretty cheesy if you ask me.

So true Azorian! I can't see or imagine the Krafts pulling something like this. IMO they understand the importance of the fans. A couple of years ago Dan Snyder charged a ticket fee for TC. It is going to be a surprise for my son and daughter and hoping they will be able to get an autograph from their favorite Pats players. Hopefully it will work out for them.

I was reading the Wash Post article about being able to get in on Monday without a ticket. After reading this thread though, it seems futile. Anyone out there thinking about standing in line to get in on Monday? I was planning on arriving around 6 am. Thoughts??

I actually got tickets for Tuesday and Wednesday now. A second chance lottery happened I guess :)

sounds like the Hollywood lottery...stars and suckups the first day...unwashed masses the next two

two things: I have 4 tickets for tomorrow and we are not going to be able to attend. If you are interested please PM me.

Also, we ARE going on Tue afternoon, but I'd like to get some input on what we should expect. Will the players be signing? What should we bring to have signed? Do the players come out early to sign? How does this all work?
TIA

Did any one attend yesterday? How early did you arrive? How difficult was it to get in and find space where you could see well?

I have never been to the Redskins Facility before, I have tickets (two extras if any one wants them), and I was hoping to get there around when the gates open. Would that be a mistake? Should I get there earlier? I don't need a spot at the side line, but I would like to be able to see the fields clearly.

Does anyone have a good video from the camp vs Redskins so far? I've only found very short clips so far.

People lined up waiting at 7:30 am for a 1:30 pm practice on a Tuesday...
