Ridley talking on Sirius XM NFL Radio
The 5-foot-11, 220-pound Ridley had a notable comment regarding his offseason diet and coming into camp in better shape: “Obviously that didn’t go too well. Coach still has me in there in ‘Fat Camp’ and running and trying to get this weight off me.”

What we learned from Sirius trip to New England Patriots - espnBoston

Hmmm..... Hey Rid, it's just Calories In vs Calories Out. Why can't you get that weight off?
Geeze ... if you're having such a hard time ... that's not too encouraging for the rest of us non athletes
trying to lose weightl
Maybe there's something else preventing you from losing the weight you want.

He said this when Sirius visited Pats camp a few days ago. But I guess it's time for yet another 12 page semantics debate and pissing contest.

A pro athlete who makes his living by running should never have to go into Fat Camp.

Doesn't look good for Ridley considering James White is getting a ton of praise. He might not be a Patriot next year.

I can't wait until the preseason starts and we have real stuff to talk about.

I kind of think it was a joke.

Ridley is one of the best interviewers with the media on the team, he keeps it light with them and this was an example of it. He was joking.

Has anyone actually seen Ridley? Might be a case of him bulking up more than the coaches wanted.

I remember last off-season, Harbaugh was worried about Kaepernick putting on too much muscle.

Not saying that's the case, just that it's a pretty ambiguous statement.

Antowain Smith, is that you?

Has anyone ever seen Ridley? I mean I haven't seen his core, but his legs arms and chest are all solid.

Maybe Stevan wasn't doing enough offseason cardio, so he showed up to camp not in football shape... I think by fat camp he means he has to do extra wind sprints to get his body ready for pre and regular season games.

I used to follow him on twitter/facebook or something similar. He constantly posted about waking up really early in the morning to train during the offseason. I highly doubt he's out of shape. Sounds like a joke to me.

It is a joke. He's just putting stuff out there. :D

Ian, could you give us an icon of a dude beating his head against a brick wall, please? Only possible response to this thread.
