As nasty as that is, I watched it several times. I want to get an infrared camera now.

I like how his ass sticks out further and further the longer the fart gets. You just know that was one he was holding in for a while.

Great Info. Trying to find out if TE Jones has any talent other than being 6'8". Also, got the impression that you may have ratted out that young producer at EEI.With the info you provided, he will be easily identifiable. He can be a bagger at Market Basket after he gets fired.
Oh god I hope not.

I think it's more a case of nobody having earned a starting spot yet. Harmon was decent last year, but he hadn't won a starting spot then, so there's no reason to assume that he would be given it now before the competition is half over. Perhaps, this was a day when Ebner wasn't busy elsewhere (with folks standing around waiting their turn) and could actually get reps with the first team for a look, rather than being busy with the punt team. We'll see all of them get reps with the first team D again before week 3 of the pre-season rolls around, at which point we might expect BB to tip his hand.
If Ebner is one of 4 safeties (not including Ryan), it would help if Belichick could count on him to play safety in an emergency. If Ebner cannot be counted on for this, we may need to keep another safety, or not keep Ebner.

Oh god I hope not.

Come to think of it, you might want to remove that part. You pretty much described him to a T and it shouldn't be hard for them to narrow it down to who he is. Unless the kid was a jerk off and you don't mind possibly costing him his job, it might be smart to at least edit that.

That's cool that he's tough and can get on a LB quickly, but he can't keep the pocket clean worth a damn and struggles against even average DT's. When your GOAT quarterback is immobile and requires a clean pocket to step up into, that's a recipe for disaster. He was very overrated in 2012 and, in 2013, was thoroughly among the worst centers in the league. That the team appears to be making moves to try to bump him to either a back-up or off the roster altogether is very telling.
K, 'I can't help but consider your representation as being hyperbolic. Don't the same stats that damn him also tell us that over 95% of the time Brady dropped back to call, Wendell allowed neither a sack, hit, or HURRY. That's hardly being a "turnstile".

Its not like I don't recognize Wendell's limitations, but most players have them, and I guess I am rebelling against what seems to be an onslaught of negativity being thrown at Wendell. Also there is the irony that a 5% failure rate makes an offensive lineman a bum, while a 10% success rate gets a defensive lineman into the HOF.

Brady was sacked the second most times in his career last year. He was only sacked more in 2001. A lot of that had to do with interior OL play in which Connolly and Wendell were the primary culprits. When you have an immobile pocket passer, A-gap pressure and the inability to sustain a block long enough against mid-size to bigger DT's, particularly on a bull rush, is inexcusable. Again, the team has obviously done a good amount this offseason to improve center play so they recongize the issue. Why anybody is rooting for Wendell to win that job again is confusing, to say the least.

well.....deus.....like i told that other dude, christiancat......i dont mean to cast aspersions on you.....and if i did so unfairly, then i sincerely apologize

No worries. There are people who use multiple accounts on forums. I'm just not one of them. The NSA comment was about the gov't snooping, not any problem with your question.

A couple of quick questions DI. Where were you sitting that you saw this "pressure" from Wilfolk force Brady throw early? And if you weren't at practice, who did you get the report from which claimed Wendell was the reason for the pressure?

First, as I stated, it was reported. I was not at yesterday's practice. Second, I said up the middle, not that Wendell was at fault. That, too, was reported. I don't recall who reported it as up the middle, but here's the Herald talking about who got the pressure:

Darrelle Revis again had the play of the day. The offense worked on a situation in which they were backed up against their own goal line, and Vince Wilfork pushed through the line too easily to create pressure on Tom Brady, who was standing in the end zone and quickly unloaded the pass over the middle to Kenbrell Thompkins. Revis had a beat on the pass, easily intercepted it and returned it about 10 yards for a touchdown.

It is useful. Before my post, did you know that farts could be seen on infrared?

Now tell me that isn't more entertaining than the MLB.

Infinitely so.

It was either Wendell or Connolly. Both were taking snaps with the first team offense yesterday with Wendell reportedly receiving the bulk of the action.

Wendell was the center for that play.

Oh that was Wendell? I thought that was a turnstile.
They looked quite similar on that particular play, for sure.

Just watched the video. It's plays like that that could get the franchise injured. Wendell seriously has to go.

Deus is an upstanding poster who is very knowledge about football and lots of other things. What you see is what you get with him. Deus is simply Deus and that's that. He posts very well thought out, straightforward posts. Deus is someone who should be looked to on this board for guidance. He is a very nice, fair, and helpful poster who carries himself well. FWIW I hold Deus in a high regard.

Overall, Deus is an asset to this board and you should NOT be suspicious of Deus whatsoever.

That sounds exactly like something Deus would say!

(I kid, I kid)

Thank you very much for your kind offer. I'll be in touch in the morning if I can go.

Ken took one of my 2 extra tickets for tonight's practice.

I have one more, first come first served... email me at [email protected] if interested.

I can email a PDF of the ticket or meet you in front of the pro bass shop around 6:30pm tonight.
