Throwing WR's around, making big hits in training camp, getting fired up and being an all around intimidating force. He's also lost some battles. He's not a perfect CB.

He's a good player and a great goon. And that's just what the Patriots defense has been missing for so many years. As great as players like Wilfork, Mayo, and McCourty are... none of them put much fear into opponents.

I'm starting the official Brandon Browner gif thread early. I have a feeling it will keep getting bumped after week 4.

For some reason, this one is my favorite. ;)

I love the fact that he's so aggressive and physical in practice. Our WRs will be well prepared for when we face the Legion of Boom in the SB after a season's worth of such intense practice.

In the meantime, the Pats need some different players to step up and intimidate in the secondary the first 4 weeks..just a reminder

The Greg Jennings gif is easily my fav, I love how he attempts to come back at him.

Revis is rightfully praised as a technician and great athlete.

people forget he can be pretty scrappy too.

Definitely enjoying the potential of our secondary this year so far. I love the offseason additions and the physical presence that they both bring.

Much like WR (although this position is obviously more talented top to bottom), there will be plenty of opportunities for players to contribute at different situations and intervals throughout the season. The depth itself is obviously night and day, and could go a long way towards making this a top 5 defense.

I guess he was a huge fan favorite over in Seattle, and from what I've seen and heard from TC, if that transitions to the regular season I might have to change the jersey of my favorite Pats player from #12 to #39 (since 12 should be everyone's favorite)

What I like about him is that he's shown himself to be a football version of the energizer bunny. His motor just doesn't stop.

I don't know how long a career he's gonna have what with the way he keep's hitting people, but it's sure been fun to watch so far.

I love how he personally creams 3 different players on the first GIF, and it's a ST play.

I knew that having a CB with Browner's size and physicality would be a significant change, but I'm not sure I appreciated just how much of a badass he is. That's going to come in handy.

We all know it's a bad matchup for Browner, but for the first series of the Broncos game, have him cover Welker.

Send him an early friendly reminder about what he did in the AFCCG.:)

Love his physicality and enthusiasm. I've been calling for more of it in the back end since 2008. I just wish we had an annihilator at safety opposite McCourty back there with him. I love to watch the Welker's of the world fly through the air with their feet above their head, their shoes about to fly off, and the ball jarring loose from their arm after a highlight reel hit. Physicality like that also influences whether or not opposing WR's develop alligator arms. It's a shame that he's suspended for the first four games (for violating the substance abuse policy while out of the league... meanwhile Ray Rice knocks his [now] wife out cold and drags her lifeless body from an elevator and gets two games) but I will look forward to seeing him after that.

Harmon has had some jarring hits in college and he is bigger more mature now. I always said if Logan Ryan can step up to be a top flight #2 corner,Browner can play some safety. He and McCourty with his 4.3 speed could be one of best tandems ever. Chancellor is a slightly bigger thumper than Browner but his cover skills/ball skills aren't even close to Browners. Would you leave Chancellor man up with Brandon Marshall like Browner could.

lets not forget...revis is pretty dam physical himself....not a browner...but that gif shows it.

Always get a kick out of the idea that an NFL player fears another one.

Fear might be a strong word, but some players definitely get noticed, and when you take time to notice someone for doing something physical, you might slow down a little.
