Did the Lions ever win anything, when he was there?

Randy Moss is one of the best 3 or 4 receivers in NFL history, possibly the biggest playmaker in history, did any team he played for and set records with ever win anything?

Dan Marino, top 5 QB in history, how many SB rings is he rocking?

I may have completely missed your sarcasm or something as I've only skimmed a lot of the argument, not fully read it, but if I'm not missing your point, it's a bad one. If I am, my appologies.

"Brady finished practice going 0-7 with an interception to Brandon Browner"

If this had been the last few years he would have probably finished 6-7.

Just want to make it clear that I wasn't trying to be sarcastic about Brady. Meant that the secondary is much improved than what we've had in the past.

That's pretty nuts. I did read that it sounded like Browner was maybe playing beyond the rules a little, but to shut Brady out playing ANY style of football is pretty insane.

Ray Rice has a lights-out punch against a weak defense..

I see what you did there. He helped drag the Ravens' run offense from depths as well. He really elevated them.

The Pats never won anything while John Hannah and Andre Tippett were here. Only made it past the first round once in the whole time that either of those guys was there. Are you going to hold the Pats' hall of famers to the same standard that you're holding Sanders to?

Why are we talking about ray rice, antuan smith, and Blount in a trainng camp thread? Last time I checked none of those guys are on this team.
I was about to say that too, I had to browse through the last 4 freaking pages, all about everything but training camp which is what this thread should be about. Really annoying!

Luv'n intensity and Fire from our D'Backs. I've been SCREAMIN for years how our Def cost us games and possible Superbowls but for once I'm really psyched about a season with a REAL Def complimenting Front 7. I like our chances even more to get over hump.

How is DJ Willians doing? What about his blocking?

The only thing I found was this snippet...

http://nesn.com/2014/07/patriots-training-camp-observations-brandon-browner-gets-heated-shines/

– Linebackers Jamie Collins and James Anderson had impressive pass coverage plays in 1-on-1s against running backs and tight ends. Tight end D.J. Williams looked solid in 1-on-1s.

They also have a nice breakdown of how the 1 on 1 drills went there as well.

They won an AFC CHampionship

Not sure if anyone posted an update on Logan Ryan's reps at safety, aside from patsfanken bringing it up from yesterday's session, but apparently the Herald finally decided to get around to it today.

According to Logan Ryan "There's been wrinkles (of safety work) here and there, but nothing too significant."

Could very well be that they have no real plans to play him at safety any significant time. But they usually move guys around a bit in training camp just in case.

Don't know if this has been posted yet. Reiss has a post up on Collins in coverage..

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots' second-year linebacker Jamie Collins put on a show with his coverage skills in Wednesday's practice in full pads. The 6-foot-3, 250-pound Collins broke up two passes and shut down most every running back and tight end he matched up with during practice.

More HERE

Pretty excited about the Pats LB group this year.

Piggybacking on LB pass coverage here was something from Paul Perillo on James Anderson

-Andy Hart often laments the fact that the term "coverage linebacker" is a bit of a misnomer. Few if any linebackers are capable of sticking with running backs in coverage, as he has stated countless times. But so far in camp James Anderson has proven to be the exception. As Andy has mentioned, his coverage has been solid and on Wednesday he was outstanding on one play against James White. The rookie tried a double move and worked his way down the sideline on a deep fade. Anderson was stride for stride with the shifty fourth-round pick and prevented the completion with stifling coverage.

That's exactly what I am thinking, Marinlik.

EDIT: FWIW--he did see some limited looks there as well last year too.

Which turns this into a semantic debate re: what constitutes "winning something". By that measure, Peyton Manning is a playoff superstar.

The point: the only way that you can claim Barry Sanders sucks without concluding the same about Hannah and Tippett is pointing to their two additional career playoff wins, neither of which were Super Bowl wins. Which is a completely absurd way to judge a player's career.

He didn't do much to help his team win which is even less difficult to comprehend.

That's a silly retort. There's only so much he could do against elite defenses in the playoffs determined to stop him putting 9-10 men in the box. He made defenses one dimensional which is more than any RB could have done for his QB and passing game. LOL at the thought of he didn't do much to help his team.
