I expect Glass-IR-Dowling to start over Dee "I'm the greatest" Milliner before he is IR'ed.
I must admit that I don't know anything about Dowling. Was he really that good in college? Seriously.

Oh yeah, and the Jets suck!

My annual shout out to Moga ... enjoy the season Frank.

“The best corner in the league? Me,” Milliner told the Daily News after practice on Saturday. “I ain’t gonna say that somebody else is better than me.”

“I’m not going to say somebody that plays the same position is better than me,” Milliner said. “Don’t care if they’ve been in the league 10 years and I’ve been here five months. That’s how it’s going to go. I’m the best. I’m not going to say that another man that plays the same position… and say he’s better than me? I can’t do that.”

heh heh heh...and just think...there's this whole Vick/Geno thing just laying there underneath everything....simmering and bubbling....can anyone stand the wait? I'm like a little kid fidgeting around waiting for the inevitable...this could be the BEST jet crash season ever.

He got injured in a lot in college but apparently he was pretty good in college. That being said it's more of a shot at Dee "I'm so full of myself" Milliner saying he's the best corner in the league than saying Dowling is good.

@BrianCoz: Player of the day in Jets practice today was Zach Sudfeld. #nyj

Until he shows it in the regular season, I ain't buying it. He was a stud last preseason too. If I am not doing cartwheels that Kembrell Thompkins has been one of the stars of camp thus far, I am not getting upset that Sudfeld is the star of Jets camp with their offense.

The latest entries in the Jets' "Delusion of Grandeur Training Camp Tour 2014" are Calvin Pace and Dimitri Paterson.

Here is what Pace said:

Asked how he thought the Jets defense stacks up against others in the league, Pace told The News on Sunday, “(Compared to) the rest of the defenses in the NFL? S---, man, we’re the best."

“You ask anybody around the league, we’re not the team you want to see coming in, even in a down year,” Pace added.

Calvin Pace: NY Jets have ‘the best’ defense in the NFL - NY Daily News

Funny, they were 11th in total defense, 19th in scoring defense (Pats were 10th), 22nd in pass defense (Pats were 18th), 9th in take aways, and 13th in third down percentage. Looks like they are the best defense to me.

Here is what Dimitri Patterson said:

"Fans like high profiles. I don't have a high profile, but my film is legit," he said during a break at training camp. "When the season comes, I'll show everyone why I've been in the league so long.

"Vontae and all those guys, they were first-round picks," Patterson continued. "That's all cool, but as far as ability and responsibility, are they asked to do more than I've been asked to do over nine years? No. Have they been more productive on the perimeter? No, that's not the case at all. My tape shows that it's just a matter of me coming out and showing fans, 'Hey, let me show you.'"

Dimitri Patterson to fans: Relax, I've got it covered - espnNY

For a guy who has been in the league for nine years and has 9 career INTs and 36 career pass defenses while the Jets are his sixth team in nearly a decade, I am guessing his tapes show he is a journeyman CB.

My old mum used to say "Remember, there's always someone worse off than you are." Lucky mum -- she'd never heard of the Jets.

S Calvin Pryor, the Jets #1 draft pick, suffered a head injury in practice yesterday..
Good thing for him it wasn't a foot injury, or Wrecks would've been upset.

Training Camp.
Time to shout it loud!
J-E-T-S...SUCK...SUCK...SUCK

Joker had it right above!
What with Wrecks fighting for his job and the multiple, chaotic and delightful Geno/Vick scenarios and the Training Camp bragging by guys who've mostly never done anything in the NFL except talk, this is shaping up like a classic crash-and-burn Jets season.
Be still my beating heart.
Dare we hope that they might do something that surpasses the Butt Fumble?

I hope that there still lie further Jets debacles ahead of us and that the Butt Fumble will not stand as being the greatest pratfall ever befalling the inglorious Jets franchise. No normal human (maybe fnord, but I did say normal) has sufficiently depraved imagination to foresee what horror lies ahead for the accursed Jets org.

And aren't they still paying Sanchez from that "we didn't mean to hurt your feelings" contract they gave him?

Calvin Pryor is going to become a very hated player around these parts. It's only a matter of time before he begins popping off. Whether or not he can back it up remains to be seen. He sure as hell could in college (he was my binky).
