Does Dobson's screw make a recurrence more likely or is the screw generally very stable ? If it's the latter it's all good for me.

Glad dennard is back. Sucks about Dobson and I love Ridleys visor :)

Generally a permanent screw is no big deal but, of course, it's the details that could change that. Most of the time they leave a screw in because it will not effect the area and it would require another surgery to remove it, which is an unnecessary surgery unless the screw irritates something. Once its healed, its healed, the screw being permanent is normally not a big issue and is normally not needed to be permanent just avoids another surgery for removal.

Dobson have missed all of the activities so far, including individual work outs with Brady in California. This is a huge setback. He will need to get back in football shape and timing before even think about develop a rapport with Brady. It's almost August and next week there is already a game.

If those reports are accurate it's reasonable to believe he is going to be PUP'ed for the beginning of regular season as someone said you don't lock a roster spot for Dobson, there is no way, in a year with 3 QB's...very unlikely, but the fact that BB have not made any move also says to be patient..it's not like you have good options available also.

Unfortunately it looks like this Gallon kid is also struggling, he could have a chance here.

Thanks, sounds like it's not a long term issue most likely. Sure the missed time sucks but that will get made up and it's not as if Dobson really strugled to "get it" last year, he had caught on much more so than, say, Boyce.

I am thinking Dobson is going to make an appearance to camp, ready to play, sometime this week. Since dennard is back and both have been at camp hanging together cheering on the teammates, my guess is Dobson is almost ready to return also

How is Dobson going to make up for the time he has missed thus far?

Not sure the Dobson news is bad. Day to day does not equal "Oh well, he is going on PUP and will miss the first 6 games.

What has he really missed? There is plenty of time to get ready for the season.

How does anyone make up for missed time ? You don't, you just do the best you can in the meetings and when you get back on the field. It's too bad but it's not a game changer.

Playing football. I know there's time to still get ready and I hope he's able to.

If Boyce is still running with the Second unit he might not make that jump we had all hope for. Would like to be proven wrong on this...come on Boyce you have gotten alot of opportunities with Dobson being out.

Re Dobson.

Yikes, hopefully the screw works out better for him than it did for Julio Jones

Day-to-day is still good news in my eyes, though. Means he's almost there

I quoted you as saying he'd make up for the time missed. My point is he's falling behind and is running out of time to get out there. I hope he does soon because I believe he can be a valuable WR on the team.

Good to hear Brandon Lafell making some noise...if you are catching passes from Brady in TC you are fine with me.

Isn't Julio Jones cleared for preseason??

Yes, but he re-broke the foot around the screw last year, and the subsequent surgery was complicated by the fact that there was already a permanent screw in place.
