@AdamSchefter: Patriots claimed former Panthers rookie RB Tyler Gaffney on waivers today after Carolina tried to sneak him through waivers and into IR.

2014 6th rounder. Game similar to Ridleys. Remember him beating down on Oregon.

We got a steal. He will be on put on ir. I wanted the pats to draft him.

I was also high on Gaffney - a very athletic big back (5' 11 1/2" 220#) with good speed (4.49) and agility (6.78 3C). He has much better receiving skills than Ridley - he reminded me a bit of Doug Martin, one of my personal favorites.

I liked him at Stanford. Love his punishing, north-south style of running. Nice pick up.

I liked it when they pulled the same move with Ballard; hopefully this one pays dividends.

Think carolina screwed this one up..good for us if it works out

IIRC with Ballard we have to keep him until the final cutdown then we can IR him - or am I wrong and does he have to make the 53 then be IRed ?

From what I remember, he just had to make first cut or something absurd. That's why it was stupid to do that just to free up that 80th roster spot.

That one didn't come back to bite them, hopefully this one will bite Carolina.

Now this could end up being a great move, this kid is an awesome talent.

Height: 5114
Weight: 220
40 Yard Dash: 4.49
20 Yard Dash: 2.57
10 Yard Dash: 1.51
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 15
Vertical Jump: 36 1/2
Broad Jump: 09'08"
20 Yard Shuttle: 4.18
3-Cone Drill: 6.78

He had 1709 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns last year, and he is a Stanford graduate to boot.

His 10-yard split time of 1.51 is impressive. His 10-yard split, 20-yard split, 20-yard shuttle, and 3-cone time were all faster than Adrian Peterson’s combine numbers. It is hard not to be excited about that type of player at least from an athletic perspective.

I love it when BB does this type of stuff. Adds to the hatred. After the referees stole that game in Carolina last fall, their fans were complete ***holes (maybe like us?). Anytime we can stick it up their wazoos I'm happy.

It also says a lot about him as a player that he was able to carry the ball 45 times in the biggest game of the year. Talk about toughness and stamina.

They are mad, like this guy here (who is probably more confused than anything)
Wait how does this even work?

But that level of confusion and all the subsequent hate want to respond to that thread with:

Twitter: @DangerZone: Bad day for Carolina as the Patriots also claim Panthers WR Phill Brown.

After skimming through those comments can anyone help me out with which coach was it and with what Player ho was it that did the same thing to us?

And now that the Patriots are the only one to not honor this "unwritten rule" thing is starting to rear its head again, I want to be armed with the truth.

I remember people saying that other teams had done this to us even before Jake Ballard, can anyone help me out with who they were?

Ah, the influx of sour grapes on the Carolina Huddle board is simply delectable.

Doubt he sees the field in a Patriots uniform... cut at start of next season.
