We still have a 3-4 year window with or without Revis just based on Brady

He also bases that off of Revis defiantly leaving next year..there's still a good chance we can lock him up

That's not the idiotic part, IMO. The idiotic part is claiming that Revis is indispensable.

We'll get some version of this every year from now until Brady retires or moves on to another team.

All of these articles like "depth is a concern for 2014 Patriots," "Brady scrubs toilets for Giselle," "Belichick is hiding something with all of the text messages to Hernandez," Belichick's words make Brady's days sound numbered," and "Brady has no chance at the SB without Revis" must be one last push before training camp opens in less than 72 hrs and there are real, actual football stories!

i agree completely.....i just thought that quote was hilarious......who knows how much of it is garbage.....maybe all of it......i like brady......i just dont think its blasphemy to have fun with frivolous things

Definitely not bashing you for posting it, James--although I am guessing that someone probably will

I just think that all of these writers are making one last push to get some clicks and notoriety before camp opens on Thursday, and they're forced to actually cover football stories again. Of course that won't stop everything, but it should help to curb it a bit.

I do not think Revis is a rental... if healthy he will prove his worth and the brain trust are not idiots.

Tanguay is an idiot, for some reason he has been on WEEI quite a bit lately...

I don't understand the concern over where Revis plays in 2015. Tampa Bay thought they had him for 6 years and that didn't work out.

I'm interested in how the team does this year. There will be plenty of time to worry about the 2015 roster later.

Agree 100%. The article is asinine, but there is a nugget of reason that I think we can all agree on. Brady and the Patriots best and maybe only chance to win the illusive and coveted 4th SB is only possible with a top-notch defense that can get off the field on 3rd down when needed. If Revis can maintain his elite level of play and the defense as presently set-up can stay relatively healthy, then this may be their best chance. To say it is their last based on one player, besides Brady is just dumb.

Listening Tanguay on 98.5 yesterday (He was filling in for Zo), I remember why I hate him so much. He basically said that Gronk won't play a full 16 game season this season because he is going to break his arm again. He cited an article from last year that there was some concern that Gronk MAY HAVE a weakened bone due to the infection. We don't even know what that means and the likelihood that it will break again.

Tanguay is an idiot with great pipes. I think most people are on to him and take this with a grain of salt. However the real travesty is Breer's article in which he implies BB wants to win a superbowl WITHOUT Brady, and bases it soley on speculation. Breer has become SUCH a loser.

Breer reporting that is really just giving BB an excuse to hate him that much more!

I didn't bother to read the article because, well, consider the source.

Basically Tanguay is saying that even the greatest quarterbacks have to have complete teams (I.E. - competent defense to go along with competent offense) in order to have the best chance at a Super Bowl? This is simply ground breaking, Earth shattering journalism at it's finest.
