Good news. Some here had felt that Gronk & his Dad were poles apart on this issue.
No,no, no, no, no. This can't be. Too many mediots around here claim he'll never play another game.

Just needs to stay healthy that's all!

We will be seeing a lot of this this year

I hope so, it would be nice to see.

At this point I just hope he's ready for week #17...

Understanding that you're just joking around, I'm assuming that the majority of us would be just fine seeing the starters rested for week 17, due to the fact that we had clinched the first round bye! :)

He's not the best Patriot of all time. But, I dare anyone to come up with a player who was more fun to watch. It's been a bummer not having the big fella around at the end of the last two seasons. Here's to good health. Not just for the obvious. Makes the team better. Just damn fun to watch.

You could really count the past 3 post-seasons, since he was nothing but a decoy in the Super Bowl loss to the NYG, which was a major loss and may have made things much different had he been healthy.

It is about him being healthy. That is the huge key. Gronk being healthy and playing and being durable.

That's great. Now if he can stay healthy this season then I am sure he'll do great and be a tremendous play maker this season. :)

It's hard to imagine him being ready for week 1. Modern medicine is incredible to say the least. Just wonder how early is too early? This injury happened December 8. That is 8 months and some change ago. To think someone can comeback like that just blows me away ala Wes Welker and Adrian Peterson.

PFT says 50-50 now :)

I'm no doctor, but for the sake of caution I hope they are 100% confident in his health before they release him to full duty. Really don't want to see him rushed back so to say, just so he can be there week 1. I'd gladly take week 4 if it meant less wear and tear and a smaller chance of the knee being reinjured.

You'd normally go by the date of the surgery, which was a full month after the injury to allow the MCL time to heal first. In that case, the surgery was on 1-7-14, which makes it even more amazing, since it's only been about 7 months.

Either way--if he plays in week 1 or plays in week 3, it really doesn't matter in the big picture of things. All we can hope is that he stays healthy for the remainder of the season :)

EDIT: just saw your comments above, so we're in full agreement on this one

They won't need him vs MIA..Minn..OAk...the first 5 games really
