We will win the SuperBowl if....

I would agree--but there's also the fact that we'll need a few good bounces or calls at the right time at some point throughout the season, which is the exact same as every other Super Bowl winner in the history of the game.

That would all be instrumental, but a lot more has to happen. Other teams are getting payed to.

Throw in a healthy portion of "good luck" or "good bounces" then maybe... last year the loss of Mayo was significant as well. There are more than 3 moving parts to this team.

I'd agree that the Pats would probably win the Division and be very competitive in the Playoffs if those three stayed healthy, but going deep into January and winning the SB depends on 46 guys who are active on game day, (remember David Tyree, who never played another down in the NFL after his magical helmet catch?), a few close (or even bad) calls that go their way and more than a few lucky bounces or drops.

Mostly agree. They can't be devastated by injury Elsewhere too. But other than that this team will be SB champs again.

The offensive line controls the line of scrimmage, including keeping Tom upright.

Brady, Revis, and Gronkowski, stay healthy for the entire year.

Agree or Disagree?

It isn't just Brady, Revis and Gronkowski that need to stay healthy, 95% of the most important starters needs to stay healthy. It was an incredible coaching job by Belichick to get to the AFCCG, with Gronkowski, Wilfork, Kelly, Mayo, etc on the IR. Our defense was shredded up the middle with all of the defensive injuries (Talib was key player who missed games too). And our offense isn't elite when Gronkowski is out. IF we had all of our team healthy like Denver did, I think we would have gone to the SB last year. Add in Revis and Browner to that defense, IF they stay healthy this team can beat anyone.

well there goes the season folks, jinxed the whole team.

This.

So many things have to go right to win it all but they have all of the pieces roster wise and look to be a near lock to win the division, which is where the run starts from.

Disagree.

Major injuries to any of the linebacking, defensive or offensive line could prove devestating to the team.

Brady, Gronk, Revis, McCourty, and Chandler Jones all stay healthy, plus C and/or RG are upgraded from last year.

If all of those happen, I think they can weather almost any other loss.

I'm a sore loser especially when I expect to win and I admit it. Its not my style to ever hope to win. I'm for creating a situation where I expect to win. That goes for my football team as well. The jags can HOPE everything turns out the way they want and HOPE everybody improves from previous year and win the Superbowl. I'm more for going into the season knowing we're going to the Superbowl. Like fixing holes and weaknesses correctly/Coaching up and giving opportunity to players with The upside to make an impact. Instead of convincing myself an average to below average player is better than he really is.

To feel total confidence we'll finally win a Superbowl and hoist the trophy at least a minimum of things must happen to at least say we should win. Let's be honest in last yrs afccg a fans heart said we should win but it was just that, from the heasr of fans. For starters team needs to remain injure free especially key players including Gronk. Below is a checklist

Gronk remaking healthy can't be counted on so a second TE must be acquired. If Gronk remains healthy the 2TE set is a huge bonus and mismatch against defenses. Jermichael Finley is the best available as a great physical pass catcher and blocker.

A big play WR must step up or how can we realistically think the offense will be any better in the championship games especially if Gronk isn't playing or at 100%. I like Kenbrell and Dobson to both double their production at least. I really like Kenbrell, his quickness/fluidity and rare work ethic to have at least 1000 yards and 75 catches 8 TDs maybe much more as his work ethic is making him a rare talent.

Wilfork/Kelly must squeeze out one more productive year. They are our only established guys well over 300 lbs that can occupy blockers and free up playmakers.

Another double digit sack guy or at least feared pass rusher has to step up. Jones needs some help. So far he isn't that dominant edge rusher who single handedly puts consistent pressure on the QB like Aldon/watt or Quinn. Easley/Buchanan/Collins or Moore have to step up and help Jones.

Browner must recapture his old form and Logan Ryan must step up to at least elite #2 CB status. Doesn't have to be a true #1 like Revis but a great #2.

Harmon must be at least solid SS and not a liability in any part of his game.

Mayo must regain his old form. His speed has to be up to par as it was his best asset. Collins should be fine. Hightower must improve. There can be no more excuses. He will be the MLB but he has to show better burst and get a better jump on plays. This is an ever increasing pass happy league getting faster and faster. Players who lack speed and burst are steadily being run out of the NFL. Teams pass consistently on first 2 downs today. Hightower needs to improve and show more burst even if its not huge difference. More and more QBs are gashing defenses for big plays. Defenses are looking for fast LBs who can limit QBs yards on runs.

If all that falls in line and its all realistic,I didn't mention any long shot hopefuls. we should be favored to realistically be able to beat any team and not a underdog ever.

Now the splash moves that either one will make us the favorite against any team.

The necessity move is acquiring a TE. Gronk can't be counted on to be playing at 100% in the playoffs. Finley is awesome and he wants to play and prove something. He is working XTRA XTRA hard and will be at peak skill level and game condition. With him we are awesome. An elite redzone threat and we run best 2TE set in the NFL. We should have at least one TE healthy for playoffs

Trading for Andre Johnson is a luxury move. But if we are to be the Superbowl favorites its a necessity. Or we should trade for another young talented wr to develop. Now I think Kenbrell Thompkins could very well break out and maybe out produce even Andre Johnson. However anytime we don't yet have a proven complete #1 caliber WR,you can never have to many elite talented prospects.

Another move we should make is acquiring a talented Guard or center who plays with power and athleticism. Brady had to much pressure up the middle. A top guard improves the whole OLine and makes Brady and the WRs better. It turns a weakness into a strength! My idea is to try and pull a trade for Carl Nicks. He is the best most dominant feared guard in the NFL. He isn't a strength he makes our line a weapon! Since bill probably won't convert Halapio to center and have Fleming compete with Cannon for RG I think acquiring a standout is a good move that improves our offense in countless ways. In fact it improves our whole offense in so many ways I would rather trade for Carl Nicks over Andre Johnson without question! Or maybe any other impact guard or center.

If the players develop and step up like I said and everybody remains healthy and we acquire Finley or talented TE we are not underdogs against ANY TEAM!!!. IF WE pull off a blockbuster trade on top of that I would bet anybody my plane we win the Superbowl! And I'm not a betting person.

You better widen the statement there...

Because I could say what if oh, Bill fell down a well in a freak accident. I'd say we'd be in deep trouble then. o_O

I could be misremembering it, but Tyree had had only 4 receptions on the year. He also caught a TD earlier in the game.

Talk about catching fire and burning out. :sigh:

So many variables need to occur besides the health of those 3. How about Vollmer, Mayo, Wilfork, Kelly, Easly, Dobson, Amendola, Vereen and co. stay off the departed list as well. At least Brady and Revis have proven they can be durable after an injury.

I'm guessing you are still single. God how I wish I still had your mindset.:(

Brady, Revis, Gronkowski, Mayo, McCourty, and Solder stay healthy for the entire year, no freak incidents happen, and the bounces and luck all go our way.

Agree or Disagree?
If this was the post- then I'd agree.

We will win the Superbowl if the big 3 (Brady, Gronk, Revis) all remain healthy, we have a consistent, ferocious pass rush from the edge and interior along with a top 3 offensive line.
