Mad respect to Lebron on going home. That ***** should have never left.

Cleveland is cursed, he'll be injured soon

I hope not. There are very few athletes I wish injury upon and he doesn't make the cut. But he IS a little *****. The media will try to spin this as LeBron "doing the right thing", but it took the Cavs forming a stacked roster with multiple #1 overall picks before he went back. When the going gets tough, LeBron gets going... to another team. The Heat, I hope, make their own run at Kevin Love then make a run at Kevin Durant next offseason. I want them to build a roster to knock the Cavs out of the playoffs.

As Kontra and I discussed up-thread, I don't see how this reflects well on Lebron. This is akin to some stereotypical teenage rom-com, where Lebron broke up with his girlfriend because she needed glasses, then changes his mind when she turns out hot. There's just something awkward about the whole thing.

While I'm sure it doesn't take anything away for Heat fans, I do think that in terms of his individual legacy, it diminishes what he just accomplished in the last four years. It trivializes what he personally did to make Miami a top team for four years. It cheapens it somehow. Like I said up-thread, I think this kills any Jordan comparisons (and makes Kobe or Duncan ones further out of reach).

Lebron is proving to be the ultimate front-runner. I find that disappointing, as his game is at a point now where he really doesn't need to be. He'll compete anywhere, and he should know that, and show some modicum of patience.

Perfectly written post. For once, I agree with you on a matter concerning the Heat. The end times must be near.

At the very least, this is spawning some golden memes...

@KontradictioN @BradyManny what else would you guys really expect out of LBJ? He was a front runner the moment he wouldn't gut it out in CLE and found the first door. But I also think you guys have it wrong, unless the Cavs get love, they wouldn't have been better than Miami's roster.

Kyrie isn't a winner and selfish. Wiggins is a bust in my mind. Varejao and Thompson is worse than what LBj had before in CLE.

Going to Cleveland, without Love, is a tougher challenge for him if you ask me. If he forces Wiggins out the door for Love, he's a ***** that needs too much help.

Just the story of him going home resonates with me. Like class move, Cleveland deserves it. I don't know why you guys are surprised he left. It's Lebron. He's not a true great like Bird, Magic, Jordon or any of those guys. He's a prima donna. At least he chose to go home over going to a REALLY easy situation in Houston

good for LBJ...he made things right and now i can root for him again

ill never root for him. hes a clown. but going back to cle makes him look good unfortunately. I don't buy cle has a better roster either. if he stayed in Miami he would be in the finals again. but hes not and I love it. screw pat riley.

I hope he goes back to Cleveland ... just to expose the bandwagon Heat fans for what they are and
watch them squirm with hate after professing their undying devotion the last few years. Also ... what
a joke LeBron being coached by Euro super coach Blatt ... now that would be funny. Something tells
me if LeBron goes to Cleveland Blatt will be canned before he even starts. Maybe they can him and
hire Choad Van Gundy LOL.

Framingham, MA super coach Blatt? :)

It's not a class move. It's a gutless move. The minute the going got tough, he bolted... again. Now he's surrounded himself with youth in a future all star PG in Irving (not sure where you're getting that he's selfish), a future all star in Wiggins (I don't think he's going to be a bust), or could trade Wiggins for Love (which is rumored). He left them because he couldn't get it done by himself there, let them stockpile #1 overall picks, and is now coming back to them because they have the opportunity to build a better and younger roster than Miami. It's not a class move at all. The going got tough, Wade got old, and LeBron bailed. That's what he does. He bails. As for Cleveland, you think a city that burned his jersey and cursed him because he left them deserves this? I'd highly disagree with that.

As for the Heat, I really have no clue why Bosh is getting the contract he's getting.

Wade's slowing down and it turns out Bosh isn't even that great. Their big 3 was really the big 2 (it helps that those 2 were both truly top players), and this past year at times it had to be just a big 1.

Like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, Lebron James could move to any roster and make it an immediate contender. Cleveland has a bright future, and if they get Love, they'll certainly be favorites to win it all. Even if they don't, they still will be favorites for the East, no doubt.

Part of me still questions why Bosh stayed with the Heat, when competitively, he would have stepped into a better situation with Houston (Granted the west is tougher, but on paper, a core of Howard/Bosh/Harden is better than one composed of Bosh/Granger/ and a past his prime Dwyane Wade). You think it's possible that this contract (and Bosh's signing of it) is sorta an acknowledgment that Bosh will be the leader of this incarnation of the Heat?

F that greasy slickster coattail-riding backstabbing scum Pat Riley. I hope he wallows in mediocrity
for the rest of his (preferably short) life.

As for LBJ, all this going home again stuff is being over-blown. I highly doubt that he would've signed
in Cleveland if he wasn't offered a max contract. I wish actually that he had signed with one of the Texas teams so that Cleveland's 1st-rounder which Danny now owns would be more valuable. (I did not
want him signing with either of the LA teams, for obvious reasons.)

Here's a question for anyone who can even remotely understand the phony-baloney NBA salary cap:
Would the trade made by Houston & LAL - Jeremy Lin & a 2015 1st-rounder for essentially cap room
- have fit with the $10.3M exception that Danny used for Zeller & Thornton?

So now it appears that the deal is two years for 43 mil with an opt out after one year. Way to commit there, LeBron.

Plus, we get to go through this entire charade again in 1 or 2 years!

Screw LeChoad ...the Cavs should had lured him in then after he chose them they should have announced their decision to change their mind. Winning a title with him is the ultimate in desperation whorism.

He'll be gone after this year if they don't win the championship (which they won't because the Spurs are just too damn good).

Deng to the Heat. 2 years, $20M. I like the signing. The team still has the room to make a run at Durant next offseason.
