What exactly did I miss? The same 5-6 posters over personalizing my opinion of Danny Amendola to the degree that it is causes them to have a vendetta against someone they have never met in an internet forum. I am not going to cater to those posters if they do not like what I have to say they can place me on ignore, end of story. I seldom quote their posts if ever, I focus on interacting with posters like Sup, FTW, generally you, and others who can disagree with me or not see eye-to-eye without making it into crusade.

As far as Amendola goes, I cannot help but see the irony in you mentioning him. For the better part of almost a year I have heard posters talk about how Amendola is going to breakout, he is going to get healthy, give him a chance, he does not suck, etc. etc. But Chung a player who is 2 years younger than Amendola, entered the league as a second round pick and rated the #1 prospect at his position, in 2010 had a more productive season as a safety than Amendola has ever had as a wide receiver – he sucks that has been determined already and he deserves no chance. Chung struggles in coverage, Amendola struggles going deep, Chung had injuries that limited his effectiveness, and Amendola had injuries that limited his effectiveness. If I say everyone give Chung a chance it is only his sixth season, how is it any different from those who say give Amendola a chance it is only his seventh season?

The fact that you think it was only 5-6 posters about Amendola really demonstrates that there's a genuine problem here for you. Whether you just need to take time off, or it's something more than that, I don't know, but I wish you well. I'm going to put you on ignore now, because this is truly painful to watch.

You are not much different from me, you have your fair share of haters on this board, and if you do not see that, I am not the only one with a problem. As far as Amendola goes nothing I said about him is untrue, I said it excessively and people asked me to leave it alone, which I have done, other than the response to you, I have barely mentioned him in a month. The only reason you even brought Amendola up is that you were mad about my view of Chung, so you wanted to remind everyone of a negative done by me.

I do not need any time off, I said Chung played well in 2010 and part of 2011. I do not see the problem, you want to send me PMs and respond to all my posts telling me to let it go, but you are the one keeping it going, I was done with our discussion days ago, you came back quoting my response to Sticky. Maybe you should take some time off…

Take a look back at the posts in this thread...

Chung has never had a good season in the NFL.

You confuse hope with analysis and stats with quality play.

Yes, he was. He couldn't cover a dead man.

Dude, you seriously need to learn to watch games instead of looking at numbers in a vacuum. And 39 receptions in 58 targets is a 67% completion rate, which is the percentage that has you 'concerned' with Harmon.

Chung was not good. Get over it.

You are overrating his earlier years and ignoring the reality of that time. You have tried to insinuate that Kontra was being a hypocrite about that when he wasn't, and you've ignored the obvious correlation between Harmon's "concern" percentage and the percentage from Chung when you claim he was better. In short, your arguments are steaming piles.

Chung sucked, because he couldn't cover worth a damn. It is what it is. It's bad enough I had to read all the crap around here from the people defending him at the time. I'd rather not have to relive that nonsense because people can't even admit to his poor play when it's years down the road.

That's complete and total crap, and I'm sure you know it. You made some stupid posts, and now you're just doubling down.

Let it die.

You missed that whole Amendola thing, I guess...

NOBODY CARES AT ALL
I care who starts next to McCourty at safety. Personally, I think they should just run with a 1 safety 3 CB 1on1 man scheme, Revis and Dennard on the WRs and Browner on the TE, McCourty as the centerfielder.

O/

Deus called me every name that he could get away without being banned. Why? He was losing a bit of a smack-off between us and other posters were laughing about it.

Im curious Brady6 have you ever actually "bah bah"-ed at someone you were debating to insult them like they were a sheep? Called them a tick? Stated that if you quit theyd have no reason to live? Called them a yipping little dog? A stupid homer? A mindless clone?

Deus has.

And while I personally think you could have withdrawn from an argument or two much earlier than you did and not fight several you did chose to fight.. ;) (acknowledging some hypocrisy here) -I have never ever once seen Deus apologize, show even a trace of humility or admit to fallability.

You have.

For that, Ill never Ignore you.

I have not; honestly, I try to say things in here the same way I would if I was having a face-to-face conversation. Something I have realized recently though is that many posters just get into verbal debates in threads for attention, because I have made a point to approach several in PM and they do not even respond, because there is no audience. Internet fighting apparently is a spectator sport only.

I do not think I have ever agreed more with a post, I absolutely get caught up in debates that I should have either walked away from or never engaged in from the get-go. Amendola is a vice of mine, something about him as a player and the Tebow esc some have toward him really brings out the worst in me and I get caught up in the moment. In reflection it was not a worthwhile cause and I should have never became so entrenched in it.

For that, Ill never Ignore you.

I try not to ignore anyone, sometimes I put them on for a few days or a week just to avoid them if things have been heated between us recently. Overall though there is nothing that happens in the NFL that should merit me having genuine dislike for another person.

Dangerzone: You seem to have alot off ill will toward Deus for some reason. Which in my opinion is very unwarranted. What I don't understand is why you continue to quote Deus directly and attack him and or you quote another poster and attack Deus. My friendly suggestion is stop the non sense and put Deus on ignore because frankly I am pretty sure Deus has already put you on ignore. Think about it: why continue debating, arguing or whatever with Deus when he has you on ignore anyways? The ignore route would be so much easier.

I am not trying to attack you or anything. I am just trying to give a suggestion and offer my opinion on things. I am not telling you what to do, I am just offering advice. You can take the advice or leave it.

I personally think Deus is one of the nicest, one of the most open minded, and one of the most knowledgeable posters on this board.

I think Deus has been very patient with many on this board. In my opinion, he presents his arguments well, offers sound advice, and tries to be straightforward with his football expertise as well as his expertise with other things as well.

Like I have said before, I don't agree with Deus 100% of the time, but I don't agree with anyone 100% of the time. Deus has often times had my back and I will continue to have Deus's back. Whenever I have needed advice or something Deus would kindly PM and we would talk.

Deus has NEVER made me feel less than, even In the very RARE times that we have disagreed. He has always been accepting and kind towards me even though I am a Tebow supporter who is also a fan of the Patriots/49ers.

For all that, I have a ton of respect for Deus and consider him a true friend.

Of course there have been many other posters who have also welcomed me on this board with open arms as well. I would like to thank all those posters who have welcomed me on this board (you all know who you are). However, the current conversation is about Deus. Thus, only Deus is mentioned by name.

The following below is NOT in reference to Deus and has nothing to do with Deus:

For instance :There was one poster who I almost put on ignore about 4 months ago. However, that particular poster sent me a long PM. In that PM that particular poster APOLOGIZED to ME for their post towards me on the main boards. I responded back to them and we are all good now.

For instance: There was a poster who pmed me about 2 months ago and they decided to use the PM function to call me names, berate me etc. Which goes to show that some use the PM function to berate a poster, not work things out because there is no audience.

There are some posters who have attacked me either on the main boards and or via PM and never apologized. Which left a bitterness in the air so to speak. Thus, things were never resolved and the ignore feature was utilized on those particular posters. On the other hand, many have welcomed me and I say thanks to those posters.

I don't like to have to put any poster on ignore. Unfortunately I had to with a few posters. Which in turn made things more enjoyable and peaceful for me on the boards. Nonetheless, putting certain posters on ignore was one of the best things I have ever done.

Overall: I don't blame any poster for using the ignore feature because sometimes the feature just has to be utilized.

Just my two cents/opinion

I'm thinking they should be using as many DBs as possible, obviously depending upon the specific situation, especially since we have the horses to do so for the first time in awhile. For this reasoning, I definitely think you're one DB short (the 2nd safety) for about 60% of the snaps in subpackages.

Who that safety is would be the question, but up until now, it would appear that Duron Harmon has the upper hand, and I expect it to stay that way unless he plays so poorly a change is warranted. Otherwise, I think he'll get every opportunity to prove himself.

Bah bah more little sheep.

If you found that previous post insulting, then perhaps you are not truly capable of commenting whether my ill will towards Deus is "warranted" or not.

If I simply responded back to you with some of the things Deus has said to me, you'd be harboring me ill will in a very, very short amount of time.

In Ignoring the likes of our highly antagonistic Supafly for example, you have demonstrated the importance you personally place on Ignoring those posters that sometimes express opinions you don't want to hear.

But I don't share that opinion.

Having your mental health questioned in a "Im Ignoring you now" post would be extremely frustrating for anyone.

My post was meant to commiserate with Brady6 and let him know he wasn't alone.. ... except about Amendola ;)

I've witnessed Deus Irae twist information just so he could try to win an argument. This was before I even joined the forum. I immediately lost respect for him and his posts right there and then.

Perhaps you've only seen his "good side"...if there is one...
