Their defense is hot garbage! I don't know who it was that said it. They were talking about how that back end is just terrible. After the Croatia game I think? The only reason this is not 10-0 is because Germany were not sending much guys up there at the start of the 2nd half

The Seahawks' Twitter account has just posted:

"Touchdown Germany!"

:D

Wonder if we'll see an extra point. :D

Deutsche Uber Alles rings out from the stands in Belo Horizonte....

This blowout is so bad, Peyton Manning is starting to feel sorry for Brazil. As mentioned above, Germany let off the horses. They essentially started resting for Sunday at halftime.

This is absolutely historic. We will never see 5 goals in 20 minutes in the WC semis or finals again in our lifetime. In fact, currently at 6-0, we will probably never see another blowout of this level at this stage (or later) in our lifetimes.

HUMILIATION OF A NATION!!!

EXTRA POINT IS GOOD!!!

Brazilian fans chanting Ole as Germany string 20+ passes together. Crazy.

How much did Thiago Silva not being on the pitch cost them? That silly 2nd yellow card he got could be even worse in hindsight.

Damn it Germany! Why did you let them score!

David Luiz is a 50 million pounds footballer. I should be at least 25 million on that scale.

So happy to see the Brazilians getting their comeuppance. Mean, niggling, pantomiming, having the ref on your side ... just a bunch of spoiled brats. They hardly got the ball into the opposition penalty area, but there were at least six laughable dives.

Yet even without Neymar, they were still the most skilful group of players in the tournament. Each of them can do things on the ball that the Germans (Khedira excepted) can only dream of. They could have scored 5 goals in the second half, just opening up the defence with beautiful running and passing. But who'd you want on your team -- Marcelo or Philip Lahm?

In my dreams, they get rid of the disgusting Scolari and go back to playing Brazilian football.

I still wonder what the German coach was thinking leaving Muller in the game.

US Mediots calling Germany and Jlow classless for running up the score in 5...4...3...2...1...
Any bets on who will be the first? My money is on Skip Brainless.
Oh and as big a fan of Germany as I am that score line is not indicative of the 2 teams quality. Germany are not that good and Brasil are not that bad. It was just one of those games where things just snowball on you. It has happened to the Pats, it happened to Bayern in the UCL semi this year and it happened to Barcelona in the UCL semi last year. Heck It happened to Germany 12-13 years ago against England at home.

In my dreams, they get rid of the disgusting Scolari and go back to playing Brazilian football.

For all of us casual fans, could you explain what you mean? Didn't Scolari lead the Brazilian team to the 2002 World Cup?

Well, I'm pretty casual too, these days.

But look at this World Cup and see which teams were well organized and well coached. I don't mean which were the best teams, but which ones made the best of what they had. The U.S. as the shining example. Then Switzerland, Belgium, Costa Rica and, of course, Germany. They all play a modern game, build from the back, retreat when they lose the ball, and so on. And none of them fell apart when things didn't go well.

Contrast it with Brazil. Or Spain. Fabulously talented players. And Spain's coach also won them a World Cup. But they just fell apart when things went wrong.

I blame Scolari for being a huge part of the way in which the Brazilian tradition of flair and passing has been corrupted. They dived their way to victory in the opening game against Croatia (penalty? do me a favour) and kicked the Colombians to bits in the quarter-final (OK, the Colombians did plenty of kicking back, from what I saw).

Then Scolari had the absolute nerve to complain that the referee didn't protect his players! How classless can you get?
