Manziel's an idiot!

gotta love the kid's swagger......not a goody two-shoes......like some QBs:D
His swagger might be one thing, but his judgment, arguably one of a QB's most of important traits, looks piss poor these days. I think he's unquestionably talented, but that alone has never been and never will be enough to guarantee success in the NFL. If I'm the Browns today, I'm both worried and pissed off.

Agreed. I was trying to hold off too much judgment before seeing him out there, b/c he does have some talent to his advantage. Like you said though, if I'm the Browns (and sometimes it feels like it), I'd have to be more than mildly concerned.

Hey Johnny 8-ball, you getting career advice from Charlie Sheen now?

Poor Cleveland. Actually the saddest 2 moments may be yet to come:

1) Instead of actually competing for a .500 record and a late season WC berth under Hoyer, they'll actually end up throwing Manziel in there several wks into the season, which may end up being Colt McCoy Pt. II

2) Lebron James will end up using the city and Cavs organization as leverage to secure a better deal somewhere fancier and glitzier

I would rather journalists get real evidence before they try to discredit someone. It may be true, but what happened to journalist integrity

Just waking up from a 40 year nap, Rip Van Winkle?:p

Come on brotha!......"Hopefully Gronk has better decision making skills"?????? Are you serious......this guy makes Donte Stallworth look like Pope Paul the 2nd.....Cripes....seems like yesterday we were watching Gronk on youtube bodyslamming some jackbag at a dance club with a CAST on his freaking multi million dollar CATCHING arm!!!!!! Gronk is a great athlete....rational scholar...he is not.....

What worries me, from a Patriots standpoint, is the fact that Gronk was seen hanging out with him and Diplo not too long ago. I said it then, and I'll say it again now: hopefully Gronk has better decision making skills.

I just meant that I hope he knows better than to do coke at a urinal in public. Hell, if you're going to do coke in a night club bathroom, at least have the brains to do it in the stall. Those other three guys that are currently in there aren't taking ****s either.

Not to make light of the situation.. but I had parallel thoughts about Hernandez. How could anyone be that stupid?!

But they are.

Don't confuse "swagger" with childish impudence. This guy has a ways to go before he reaches manhood.

I figured him for a bust based on decision making on the field already.

Can't a man roll his bills in public without getting harassed

I'm foaming at the mouth at the thought of what Manziel can possibly say when drilled by reporters on this picture. I mean, really...what kind of excuse can he possibly muster up that would sound remotely reasonable?

More importantly, does SNL have anyone that remotely resembles Manziel?

It is always interesting to view these "saviors" of franchises, crash and burn... he seems to be the same character as he was when he was with Texas Tech, except now he has more money and fame... and people are paying closer attention.

Again, he always had money. His family literally has millions and millions of dollars to their name.

The folks on NFL Live brought up a scary thought - what if Johnny Foosball runs around like this all year but actually succeeds?

Then they would have to change his name to Johnny Mantle!

Mickey Mantle partied more than anyone could even imagine, yet he was still a hall of famer. He even admitted later on in life (after his liver failed) that he would have been so much better had he taken care of his body and partied less.

Manziel is going to crash and burn, we can all see it, its just a matter of time.

I truly feel sorry for Cleveland fans, they really got screwed. From "the Drive" to "the fumble" then BB builds a good competitive playoff team, then the move to Baltimore. A few years later, that team, wins the Superbowl. BB goes on to build the Patriots into a power in the NFL. The new Browns, haven't been relative since their inception. The list of draft busts is legendary. All of it in search of the franchise quarterback that this franchise, frankly has never had. And it looks like the search continues.....

It's like that Browns' fan who wrote into his will, he asked that Browns' players act as his pole bearers, so they "could let me down, one more time".

Mantle came from an era when nobody was taking care of their bodies either, and most of the players smoked. They also lived on average salaries.

Today, things are much different, of course.

I have to imagine that at the rate things are going, Hoyer is smiling right about now.
