“Dion Jordan of the Miami Dolphins has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2014 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.

Jordan will be eligible to return to the Dolphins’ active roster on Monday, September 29 following the team’s September 28 game against the Oakland Raiders.

Jordan is eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games.”

It's nice to read this stuff happening to anybody other than the Patriots. Call it selfish on my part.

It's refreshing that no athlete has ever used a drug that enhances performance, for that purpose.

Starting to look like no Pouncey + no Jordan for the week 1 matchup down there.

Brian Hartline = you are NEXT ;)

I know Jordan had a disappointing rookie season but I was a bit worried about him in week 1 with the offseason he had. Now we know why and how.

Missing the first quarter of the season might also stunt his growth. This is looking like a potential bust situation for Miami.

loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

I don't know if there will be another Dolphin player injured or suspended before the season starts, but I hear Ryan Tannehill has been spending a lot of time in Colorado after he looked to see what his o-line looks like with Pouncey out.

Guess that explain how he was able to gain tons of muscles in short period of time.

A brief word of thanks here to gymrat, who although no longer with us, has apparently convinced many players on several different teams to "lose 10-15 LBS of body fat and add 10 LBS of muscle" through various non kosher means. He's on a roll, and if these key suspensions continue, we may have to vote him the vaunted Patsfans 2014 54th player award.

Yea, I definitely raised an eyebrow when I heard he gained 17 lbs of muscle or whatever this offseason.

Makes you curious how many around the NFL are doing it. It's no secret more size and power makes a better athlete. Before Warren Sapp retired he said it was very popular around the league. And said only idiots get caught. I wrote it off since it was coming from Warren. But we continue to see all these speed rushers add that power element to their game.

It's important not to pass judgement since we signed a guy with that controversy. Makes you wonder about how any not get caught. How many times was James Harrison cut before morphing into the DPOY. We have a couple young guys still growing into their frame. Let's hope they are successful and do it the patriot way. We all have hopes for Collins, Buchannan, and Harmon. I would rather not pass judgement yet on the guys caught with PEDs. But it would have sucked if Jordan was coming out in week one with countless sacks and pressures.

95% of the NFL is on some sort of steroids or HGH.

Yup. If you like football, it's one of the things you've got to come to terms with.

Even Brady has been known to abuse those smelling salts...

But really, how many Patriots have been caught using PED's WHILE they were on the Pats?

Also, after the decade that was, it's hard not to sympathize with the rest of the AFCE when it comes to PED's, all their other strategies have failed (hiring competent coaches, drafting talented players, fielding a team worth watching play). These poor bastards are so used to losing they probably didn't feel like they even had a hope without them.

Just speculation, but it sure looks like a high pick who panicked after discovering as a rookie that his athleticism was no longer head and shoulders above everybody else's, and that his lack of strength was being exposed.

Imagine the pain for Dolphins fans if the Patriots' rather similar #52 pick, Collins, had a breakout game against them as their #3 overall pick sat out....

Imagine the pain when they see Philbin, Tannehill on their sideline and BB/Brady on the Pats sideline.

Damn Dion. No doubt trying to bulk up to be a DE.

The Phins have no god damn idea how to use my man Dion. It is a bloody shame he was drafted to the Phins. I really hope Dion some how get's traded to the Eagles.
