CONCACAF...for all the **** that had been thrown around prior to the World Cup, it's been an impressive showing so far.

Robbens is a scumbag, but that last one was a penalty. His embellishment was just shameful though. Tough way for Mexico to go out...

5 on 2 break with a 3rd Costa Rican catching quickly to make it a 5 on 3, how do you not score Greece?

Greece had two goats out there today. They happened to combine on that play. The guy that took the shot right at CR's goalie when he had a wide open short side also blew the first half break when he had a wide open Samaras coming inside. The guy that passed the ball late on that 5-on-2 (Mitroglou) also missed the wide open Greek player Gekas to his left who was behind the defense who had turned its attention to Lazaros. Mitroglou figured in later as well when he screwed up a shot point blank by scuffing it. Greece had their chances but could not finish.

I said this yesterday (not on here). Brazil aren't anywhere near as good as people think. They've scraped through every game bar the one against Cameroon. Colombia should beat them easily. They are carrying a lot of luck though, they're pretty match a one man team, and their one man isn't Messi/Ronaldo/Suarez/anyone else that good.

If they somehow get through, it would be funny to watch the Germans completely destroy them in their own backyard, it would be more of a hammering tham Pats=Ravens last year.

Lol, I already predicted that yesterday - not on this forum though.

I agree - columbia will beat Brasil. James Rodriguez will be the hero.

I'm thinking of putting my money where my mouth is. But even though it is the playoffs, when you bet a soccer game, you're just betting on regulation so there are still the same 3 options: Columbia, Brazil or Tie.

I need to find a place that has the "Which team will advance" line because I refuse to wager on regulation for a game that could easily go in overtime.

Mexico coach has total blame for them losing today, winning the game he takes out a forward to put another defender, shrinking his team on his on field, allowing Nederlands to control the game and put that pressure.

And that Ochoa, best goal keeper from this world cup, what a player.

A lot of bet houses have these options, Win (regular time + ot), or Tie or Win for a team....of course the odds are lower. I never bet in soccer though, the tie adds another possibility, under/over is a better option.

Anyway, it's not that simple guys, I'm rooting for Colombia as well but they are going to be under a lot of pressure and in a tournament like this as the rounds go on the history and uniform gets heavy , they never find anything against Brazil. I hope they make history though.

Well if you know which houses in Reno do that, please let me know.

If you're going by pressure, I'd say Brazil, as both the home team and the heavy favorite, is under much more.... And it showed against Chile.

Contact doesn't mean it should have been a PK, and regardless of who it was i wouldn't have given one in that situation. Reducing any team's world cup to that is a disgrace imo, Herrera is right, the ref should be sent home.

We'll see if he really is or it's a mindgame. Our offense is so mind numbingly ineffective we really need him, not that he's exactly a stud.

I am not going to sugarcoat Brazil's exhibition, but i can safely assure all of you that Columbia won't beat Brazil "easily". Roster by roster, Brazil is a top 5 team in the World Cup. The biggest problem: Dumbass Big Phil needs to learn that is not the job of a DM to make a transition between defense and attack. It's easier said than done, but still, I'm hoping he's not capable of that level of stupidity

Don't worry about it. If you were to meet Germany in the semis(50/50 that they get past France) trust me JLow is very capable of high levels of stupidity. So if Big Phil makes a blunder JLow will more than likely return the favor.

Hummels out due to illness and Mustafi replaces him. Goetze back starting ahead of Klose. At this point it seems it would take an act of God for JLow to abandon the 4 CB back line.

If Mustafi was not good enough to include in the squad ahead of Grosskreutz and Durm and was recalled at the last second only because Reus got hurt, how is it that he is ahead of both of them in the depth chart? I just don't get it.
