Did anyone catch CNN's special on Aaron Hernandez?

No, I didn't. Is he dead?

it's been a year right? he was on mini camp last year if i'm not mistaken

No doubt. But your comment was equally out of touch.
It was off-the-cuff conjecture but not exactly "out of touch." A mutual enjoyment of weed sprang to mind as a possible basis for their friendship aside from being teammates. Maybe, maybe not, but it's not that far-fetched.

Hernandez honestly sounds like a paranoid schizophrenic then. Schizophrenia doesn't settle in and take hold until the person associated with it is either in their late teens or in their 20's. If what you're saying is true (and I have many friends that went to Florida so I've heard the stories as well), then it sounds like he might be a paranoid schizophrenic.
I do not think he shows many symptoms of a schizophrenic. I am not sure what he is, maybe he is schizophrenic, but I do not see any signs of a person hallucinating, which is the primary symptom if I am not mistaken.

Are you around him 24/7? Actually have you even spent 1 minute with the guy? How do you know what he is like? How do you know if he hallucinating or what went though his head or goes though it?

You are unbelievable.

Seems like a long reach to take a guy who had a joint in his pocket once to compare him to a serial killer because he didn't ask for life in front of the firing squad for his former teammate.
Last word is yours if you wish, we've already spent more time on this comment than it warrants, IMO.

I was referring to SI.com's and other reports hat Hernandez was a heavy user of angel dust.

... but I havent heard how well this allegation has held up over the last year or so.

Pcp induced schitzophrenia is a very real and even common side effect of using pcp.

Not necessarily. Auditory delusions and paranoid delusions are the most common. Paranoid delusions are the belief that everybody is out to cause you harm.

Maybe you are on to something, I think there is something very wrong with him, I am just unsure what if any specific mental health condition it would be.

o_O How on earth do you get "comparing him to a serial killer" from what I wrote? I stated the two have a mutual taste for weed as a possible basis for connection. That's all. I don't understand the "life in front of the firing squad" quip either, but whatever ...

If it's not PCP-related, it smacks of paranoid schizophrenia. Thing is, I'm not sure if he was like that just in college or if he was always like that. So I can't speak to it one way or another. Just saying that's what it sounds like.

So people are not allowed to believe he is innocent? What do we have trials for? KF has always seemed to be a great person, for him to be friends with AH he must have seen good qualities in him. I see nothing wrong in standing up for your friend.

Wonder if its more than just Deus that has me on Ignore. Heh

Ive been make making the pcp point for a couple pages now because it fits so well with everything we know about him.

I really don't see the problem. Faulk hopes that his friend isn't a murderer. Who wouldn't hope the same, if a friend of theirs was accused of the same crimes?

If you're talking about me, I don't have you on ignore. Your post is the reason I brought PCP up.

Maybe this is related, but for a very long time, I believed Lance Armstrong's denials he doped.

When several of his teammates blew the whistle on him, as much as I hated to do so, I had to conclude Lance doped.

I have it on my DVR. Will watch it when I get a chance.

And I heard the Faulk audio driving in to work today. He basically said that he is praying for Hernandez and having a tough time believing he did it. He also said anybody could do those things if they're pushed far enough.
Maybe once....but 4-5 times?

Oh ok. Just kind of felt like the conversation was proceeding at a pace a little different than it might have otherwise. :)

Sorry. Should have given credit where credit was due. I only put people on ignore who have a habit of following me around the forum. I actually haven't ignored anyone here in a couple of years.

From everything I've heard about Hernandez, he seems to be one of those guys that was who he hung out with. If he hung out with thugs, he'd be a thug. If he hung out with Tebow, he'd be a good church boy. This guy had no direction it seems

After hearing about his PCP use, it kinda all makes sense. Let's just think about it for a second...

He was a frequent visitor to clubs around Boston and Providence. Pats make the SB, he scores a TD he gets more exposure, people start recognizing him more. Some are star struck, others especially the ones that have had a few drinks in them already, see a professional football player and want to challenge him. Starts carrying a gun, and seriously abusing angel dust, gets completely ****ed up, then something innocent like getting bumped in the club and having a drink spilled on you becomes major. The paranoia kicks in that these group of guys are testing him. He thinks he has to blast them.

He gets his big contract weeks after, maybe some of his old thug friends pop back into his life when they find out he got paid. Continues to abuse drugs, gets more paranoid, gets into an altercation with Bradley, and basically leaves him for dead down in Florida. So he now killed 2 guys in Boston, and shoots at a friend, that was a drug dealer back home. Leaving him more paranoid. He supposedly meets up with BB at the combine, tells him he fears for his life. BB, not knowing he's dealing with a killer gives him advice, basically figures that as long as he's playing football AH is OK, but needs to be surrounded by the right people. So he brings in Tebow, and gets AH brother DJ Hernandez an intern job down in Foxboro for OTA and mini camp. Both guys where known as positive influences in AH life, but at that time, it was too late. AH was in too deep, then weeks later he kills Lloyd....

After all that rambling, the moral of this story is simple.....Don't do drugs!
